When a Wexford fella comes in on the Galway thread telling us this is a poor KK team, we have a fair idea what he's at!

Good win by the Galway Minors over Dublin. Nail biter of a match. Wexford beat KK so Leinster is a toss up. Hon Galway. Trump2020 (Galway) - Posts: 2509 - 27/04/2024 15:25:14 2540900 Link 0 |

For you to see your sunny South East neighbours get to another All Ireland Final!

A win tomorrow pretty much wraps up a spot in the Leinster final although after Wexford somehow managing to lose Antrim, it could be similar to the Nowlan Park game last year which was just shadow boxing knowing they would play again in the Leinster final. galway19 (Galway) - Posts: 898 - 27/04/2024 16:35:53 2540929 Link 1 |
Fair play to Antrim. YUGE win over Wexford. Leinster is getting VERY INTERESTING. Trump2020 (Galway) - Posts: 2509 - 27/04/2024 16:39:09 2540935 Link 0 |
Very interesting as in Leinster is completely a two horse race between Galway and Kilkenny........mmmmmmm how exciting!!!

Yes it's a two horse race as we knew from the start. It was take your pick 6/5 each of two in the Leinster betting all year and the rest don't really matter. Surely Dublin will finish third but they didn't look great against Carlow. I can't see Antrim finishing third given they looked diabolical in Kilkenny.

How did the Kilkenny minors hammer Galway so easily recently. And Kilkenny lost to Wexford today themselves.

Antrim if I'm right have Dublin at home and Carlow..if they get results that would put them surely in prime position to get out of Leinster..Wexford will almost need results against kk and yere selves to qualify.-I would put Antrim ahead of the rest to qualify now.. Nothing between these Wexford and Kilkenny minors since they were u14

They're U17s. Performances can vary quite a bit. Our U17 footballers got beaten out the gate by Mayo in Connacht 2 years ago and ended up beating the same team relatively comfortably in the All-Ireland final. Trying to follow form lines at that age group can be tricky. WanPintWin (Galway) - Posts: 2321 - 27/04/2024 23:10:35 2541081 Link 2 |
That's just the way it goes. Galway sometimes need a match or two just to get in sync with each other. Having said that KK are a fine team and fully deserved the win over Galway.

A bit of a nightmare in the glens yesterday! Such a tigerish performance by Antrim seems to have caused a lot of embarrassment on the Wexford thread! Ye should be gracious enough now to take it on the chin and give credit where it's due!

Typical tight affair. I hope Morrisey is ok. I'm happy that we came back at the end. Pros and cons for both teams I suppose. There's a lot to learn and build on from this match. Trump2020 (Galway) - Posts: 2509 - 28/04/2024 15:46:28 2541177 Link 0 |
Defensively, Galway were very poor today. To concede 29 points particularly on a day where the wind made scoring difficult is very worrying. We seem to lack pace and urgency across both defensive lines... Flaherty (UK) - Posts: 126 - 28/04/2024 16:43:57 2541202 Link 2 |
Antrim are away to Dublin.
