Tony Brown over 20 inter County Championship seasons or are you including when he retired from County hurling but played Senior Club Championship?

Replying To baire:  "I'd agree with you re TJ Reid but would add that he has won a good few AI medals with his county. He can have no complaints. I have more admiration for the likes of Tony Brown, Ciaran Carey, Ollie Canning and other fantastic hurlers who kept it going for years on teams that weren't good enough or lucky enough to win an All Ireland."
It's the consistency of his playing ability regarding TJ Reid....I don't think I have ever seen him play poorly in all those games. His free taking is just always so accurate

Interesting team selection for Sunday. Really like the look of it and looking forward to see how it goes against a good Kilkenny team. C Mannion, C Cooney and C Whelan in the full forward is strong. David Burke and R.Glennon at midfield. The whole team has a good balance to it and I would be expecting them to deliver a winning performance.

That's true, he has it all, all the skills with low or high ball and when he's sidelined it's noticeable.

Agreed. I think 1-9 and the FF line looks solid. Maybe a bit light in the half forward line but J Cooney and Glynn on the each so could be brought on (either at HF or FF line) and shuffle the front 6 accordingly.

No, intercounty only. Tony Browne made his senior championship debut for Waterford in 1992. He retired after the 2013 season. He didn't play championship in 1993, but I believe he played every other year.

Oh yeah completely agree, I'm just saying in terms of our starting 15 - id pretty much go with 1-9 and 13-15 from the team that's named for the weekend.

The best time for Wexford to play KK is when KK have already qualified. Wexford have been fortunate to have met them in this position in recent years. Go through each line of that KK team and tell me where it's weak? The Galway HFs v KK HBs for instance?

Look there missing 3 all stars what more do you want .And then it will be a battle royal between ourselves and Galway for Leinster.

I'd like to see how it goes with the 15 named actually starting in those positions and as you say if it doesn't work then change it around and with J Cooney and J Glynn on the bench is a great alternative.
I'd love to see C Mannion, C Cooney and C Whelan hold their position in the full forward line and just feed them with quality ball. That's a full forward like which has the potential to do serious damage.

It will be a very tough game no matter who KK are missing. Very little between the teams in recent years.

This Galway team has the potential to be like that Tipp team where they won the All Ireland again towards the twilight years of their career with a rejuvenated P Maher, B Maher, N McGrath, S Callanan,Bubbles O'D and Bomber Maher.
We have Daithí Burke, P Mannion, David Burke, C Cooney, C Whelan and C Mannion all still with the ability and potential to be winners again.........L Sheedy was able to convince those Tipp lads they were good enough can Henry convince our lads......

I think you mean Bonner Maher instead of Bomber Maher. Kerry had a player called Bomber Liston one time but you'd be too young to remember him!

I suppose we can all dream but dont think that galway team is good enough like ourselves just short one or two.
