Handy win for the 20s against Dublin. Scored 4-12 and butchered three goals. 2-7 for Aaron with both goals from 21 yard frees. On to the semi final in four weeks time.

Great win. They needed a match under their belt to get used to each other and get their timing down. Nice to see some bench lads getting a run too. Hon Galway.

Can't read it but got the gist of it elsewhere and know I'm not missing much!

Ironically Shefflin in his recent interview with Galway Bay FM set a very modest target. He said "our aim is to finish in the top 3 in Leinster and after that in the top 2", Didnt mention winning it (which is fair enough at this stage) but certainly wasn't displaying any iron (or steel) in his words!

Are you referring to me, or to the 'journalist'?

I tried to paste the article but it won't let me

Seemingly Galway folded the tent in last year's AISF = Galway lack mentality and appetite and should have performed much better

Oddly enough Kilkenny's 0-21 to 1-6 defeat in the AIF second half = Limerick are awesome and Kilkenny could do nothing in the face of such magnificence

Agendas are a great thing all the same

Looks like he will never lose the chip on his shoulder about the 'revolt' in 2015 despite AC having long ago made his peace with it

The Minors getting hammered by Kilkenny 4-24 to 1-14. Kilkenny far bigger and more physical according to the announcers on Galway Bay FM. Dublin up next for our guys. Galway Abu.

It's an exceptionally strong Kilkenny side for the grade

Having said that, we hit a lot of wides, many of the really poor variety, and we struggled to get on the ball between 5 - 12

Full back line did well enough in the circumstances given the lack of cover

We need a go to spare defender also, we didnt seem to expect KK to set up with a sweeper and we made a hero out of him

On to the next day, and it's not so long since that would have been the only day

Mind you we are likely to get as many future seniors out of this team as any of the All Ireland winners

Yeah I look forward to Galways next match as I expect to see some serious improvement just like the U20s when they got a match under their belt. Dublin beat Wexford today so they'll be tough to beat. Hon Galway.

Wasn't at the match but should we not be doing to Carlow what the cats did to Antrim? Wasn't it a few years ago a weak score line v Carlow was a factor in us not progressing to the all Ireland series?

The most current tiebreak rules seem to exclude minnows from the calculation, and only include scoring differences associated with games involving the sides party to the tiebreak.

Galway v Kilkenny will be a great chance to see where Galway are at. The League and the match v Carlow can only tell you so much but with KK coming to town it will show where they are in their development. Big match for Shefflin. Galway Abu.
