Great. Any links to it, or where it can be bought? It'd be a nice watch, in the quiet of the year!

The best of all time surely.

It was written in the stars surely, being from the same homestead as John Kelly.

He pretty much single handedly dragged a football county into hurling aristocracy and beat the big 3 along the way.

It changed us forever.

We contested 50% of all Ireland finals over 2 decades according to Liam Griffin.

Playing for a way of life indeed.

The magic and panache of Wexford in full flow with the model army behind them.

We've seen glimpses only in my lifetime but I've treasured every single one.

I'm so grateful my kids got to see the leinster in 19.

My wife, a blow in with no interest in hurling when I met her, cried in the hogan stand when she realised we were going to win, feeling as if she'd grown up with them.

Replying To Viking66:  "Donohue has a great engine and played well enough against Dublin might work midfield. Paudie I'm nearly sure has played centre forward before for Crossabeg but I'm not 100 percent sure. I'd be worried about Kevin in the corner tbh. Be a great distributor of a ball from a short puckout but maybe not dirty/cute/sticky enough to be a defensive cornerback. And if I was playing Hearne I'm not sure cornerforward would be where I'd put him though he did score a great point from out on the sideline against Kilkenny in the Walsh Cup in an otherwise forgettable outing. That's definitely a left field lineup Wex98!!!!!"
Yeah, Hearne would be playing further out with Dunbarr the third midfielder.

I'd be looking for Kevin to read the game and get out in front of his man.....it's a bit of a gamble.

It's on Wexford GAA YouTube channel.

Should have known better than to watch in the middle of the day.

I'm in bits here "the tears they shed were tears of pride"

Very well put together video. First time I ever saw interview video footage of the great man . The stories of his life are fascinating .

Would make you proud to be a Wexford man.

I think the current team have Great heart and will fight for the jersey . Hopefully we can build momentum the next 2 days before throwing everything at Kilkenny.

We are not out of this championship yet

I hope you are right afinestick.
I don't doubt the heart in the team. We have shown it time and again even when we are beaten. It is so frustrating to leave games behind us but no player ever went over the white line to play badly. Those armchair supporters who aren't training all winter need to know the level these lads are hurling at.
Another thing to say, the singing before the match last weekend was really good. I don't know who he was but it warmed the crowd up nicely. Shame about the result that followed admittedly!

Caught the Nicky Rackard tribute this evening. Very well put together. Couldn't help but get goosebumps at some of the archival footage.

I think the most fitting thing about it is Tony Doran featuring- I have seen that man at so many matches when men Tony's age are almost like star-eyed school kids in his company. I imagine it was even more pronounced with Rackard (I know my dad said he saw him once- the fact he remembers it at all sums the aura).

It's amazing to think that he scored 59 championship goals in 36 games. Keher has 35 and DJ and Ring got 33. Oddly TJ, Canning and Shefflin have 27 each (Canning with the least games played of that lot with 62), while the bould Tony has 40 (only beaten by Rackard and Martin Kennedy's 54 goals from the 20-30s). I don't foresee it ever been beaten, even in a more sanitised game.

It was Anthony Kearns last wee and George Lawlor the week before.

I'd like to see that continue.

Creates a lovely atmosphere in the park.

I had the young lad (5) grilling me about rackard before the game and all he wanted to do was hurl after

Has the championship record of 7-7 for a single match.

Good to see Chin back starting but not sure what McGuckin has done so far to deserve another start.

Team named. Strong team even with Hearne and Devitt coming in. Probably would have had Chin centreforward and Liam og midfield myself though the way we are playing this year the half forwards will be covering back to midfield anyway. And probably our strongest bench so far this year with Morris, Flood, Dunbar, Dwyer, O Foley, K Foley all championship starters.

Team named anyway.

Nice to see Devitt getting a start in the corner.

Chin in midfield and jacko centre forward with Hearne in the corner.

Paul Morris makes the bench too.

Fanning
Devitt
Jippo
Donoghue
Paudie
D Reck
O Hanlon
Dee
Chinner
Mogie
Jacko
McGukian
Rory
Mac
Hearne

Should be more than good enough to get a result with probably 4 lads on the bench capable of making a difference.

The points are important but the performance is everything. We're running out of time.

Does alot of the dirty work closing down etc and has a great engine stays going the whole game. Showed he can catch a high ball under pressure against Dublin too. Only bad mistake he made was a poor wide when he had more time than he thought. He was 1 of our best u20s a couple years ago. He's definitely one for the future and I'd say that's partly why Egan is trying to get as much game time as possible into him.

Hopefully we can win the next 2 and also improve our scoring difference while playing ourselves into form for Nowlan Park. Laois in Portlaoise will be a tough nut for us though.

Get over today, beat Westmeath, then it's do or die against Kilkenny. It won't matter if their through to the Leinster final or not, they won't pass up the chance to stand on our throat.

I'm counting on that extra 20% intensity that Wexford teams bring when they see the Black and Amber.

A bit like us and the Shels!!!!

Another utterly embarrassing result for our underage teams. Beat Dublin, very close game against kk and then go up to laois and lose.

All our underage had to be looked at. U20s getting beat by Kildare was bad enough and now this. Embarrassing. Could be a long decade.

Laois led for the entire game bar a late goal by us. I thought we'd snuck it. We seem obsessed with getting ex players with very little management experience involved at this level and when it doesn't work we try it again. Having them involved absolutely but managing it's a no from me.
