Limerick are just ahead of everyone, they have a brilliant group of players presently, but they won't go on for ever.

I heard it is to do with the GPA media ban. It was mentioned in the paper during the week.

Always the same when we play Galway. Colours too similar

Seemingly its in solidarity for the ridiculous stand-off the GPA is having.

I'd love to hear his reasoning for bringing on a chap doing his leaving cert which hampers the under-20s when the likes of Banville and Hearne were on the bench.

Ah not sure about that. They barely beat us in 2019 when we had a worse team than we do now. We still have all our best players that we had in 2019 and have added a lot more depth. Our subs were noticeably stronger than Galways for example. And their team now is nowhere neat as good as the one that beat us in 2019.

Replying To HurlingBuzz:  "We saw what Waterford did to us a few weeks ago and Tipp pushed them all the way today. That was a cracking game of championship hurling. We've some way to go to get that level. Don't let our comeback yesterday kid us."
Against Waterford we played with no tactics, shape or intensity. A bit like the 1st half against Galway.

Limerick are a cut above everyone else. Tipp wouldn't be any closer to them than us or yourselves.

He spoke to tg4 after the Waterford game. I saw it.

He's supporting the GPA in their stupid carry on.

Crazy, we as wexford supporters need to hear what our manager thinks about matches, players injuries etc..and he needs to give his reasoning why we are not pushing up on opposition puck out.giving intercounty players free pucks inside their own 30 yard line to pick out players is madness in my opinion and costing us dearly.

The Independent this morning gives the attendance as 13365. That seems more like it from what I saw.

I agree the Pepper decision was odd Beano. I disagree with your blaming of the GPA for the dispute that's going on though.

Not stupid. Intercounty players should get any costs they are owed end of. They live a near professional lifestyle and the GAA are are penny pinching over what is actually buttons compared to the revenue the organisation is bringing in off these same players backs.

I agree we do. So why dont the GAA just pay the players their expenses? It's not the players who set the number of training sessions, matches , team meetings , challenge matches etc that inter county players have to go to. It's the management teams.

Yeah, I get that that he is acting in solidarity with the players but I don't think he or the players will be winning friends if they don't at least talk to local media who cover every game from junior c to inter county hurling.

The team that started against Tipp in 2019 was a better team than started on Saturday. You cannot take Chin out of that team and claim we have a better team than in 2019. In addition the players were going a lot better than what they are now. There is only one change in the backs with Flood replacing Murphy and that day losing Murphy to injury was one of the big turning points. The three new forwards who started on Saturday were all replaced by players who played that day.
So the reality the question is for this year is, can Egan get more out of that team from 2019? there may be one or two new faces but nobody is standing out and if Chin is not fit, then we are in trouble. Perhaps we have strengthened the bench a bit but so far there has been no big find in terms of players coming in even onto the bench. If Chin and JOC start is there any player on the bench that you would feel excited about coming on and think they could help turn things around.

Dublin game is vital if we are to make Leinster final. Remember they will fancy their chances after hammering us in the Walsh Cup. However after barely scraping past Laois we should be good enough to beat them.

I don't think we can afford to start with that half forward line again as the ball winners just aren't there and we can't afford to be beaten in the air and expect to win

I would go with

Fanning
Hanlon Ryan Donohue
Flood P Foley D Reck
Liam Og Dee O Keefe
Jack o Connor Chin Oisin Foley
Dunbar Mac Rory O Connor

I'm actually thinking that if Kilkenny beat Galway and Dublin they might already be guaranteed to be in the Leinster Final before our final game with them in Nowlan Park. They could be in a position to put out a second string team in that match

Kilkenny always want to win. They would never put out a second string.

I wouldn't count on it. Besides, if we beat Dublin why couldn't we beat Kilkenny too?
