Replying To Doylerwex:  "I profoundly disagree with this.

Remarkable athlete and unbelievably important and influential for us, but his hurling is probably the weakest part of his game.

For pure stick men, the recks, dee, mac, jippo, all ahead of him.

Rory is our best player hands down in my opinion."
A crazy opinion to me but each to their own.

Agree. That mightve been true when he was a dual player but over the last 5 years his hurling has come on big time.

Lee Chin is undoubtedly a brilliant hurler. Everything about him is sheer class. To say his hurling is his weakest asset is absolutely ridiculous. Very surprised at that statement Doyler.

Heard this a couple of weeks ago......messed it up playing junior B football

Really hope this isn't true about Chin. He's still our most influential player in my opinion.

Egan just said last Sunday that chin is going well and expected to be back soon. Where did you hear that?

Replying To Blockandhook:  "Not much to write home about in this match. We wore them down eventually but we made hard work of it for about 45 minutes. Offaly were right in there up to that time. There was substandard performances from most of our forwards. Of course Rory was a constant thorn in their sides throughout. I don't think Mac was fully fit going into the game and he was anonymous until he went off injured. Anyway we won by 8 points in the end and will go up against Cork with 4 wins from 4 games. A big improvement will definitely be needed if we are to maintain our unbeaten record. We will need Chin and Ryan back and everyone to up their game big time."
You can't play hurling in 2nd gear, you always have to be flat out, today we we're taking that split second longer to look around, standing waiting for the ball etc.

Obviously it's harder to play against opposition that your expected to beat comfortably but the great teams would annihilate a team like Offaly.

The few changes wouldn't help either, not winning clean ball, making the odd mistake, turning the ball over too easy and you can get caught out, but you have to give these guys their chance and you need know who you can rely on to bring in off the bench in the heat of championship.

Rory is one of the best in the country.

Heard Liam Sheedy laughing on a podcast last week about the 2019 semifinal.....he couldn't believe that we took Rory off, he said he was applauding the decision when we took him off......freeded up Brendan Maher.

To be fair he was carrying an injury into that game so might have impacted the decision.

The injury didn't seem to hamper him in the 1st half of that game when he was on fire, scoring 0-3 and tortured the Tipp defence. It was an inexplicable call by Fitzgerald which undoubtedly handed Tipp a psychological advantage which Sheedy confirmed on that podcast. Rory on one leg would have been better than the guy who replaced him.

He was flying in the 1st half but might have ran out of gas, we both only guessing to be honest.

I heard it from 3 different people in Wexford Park today… Hope it's not the case. If that's true that he picked the injury up playing Junior B football then that's pretty disappointing. And we wonder why Wexford don't win more inter county hurling titles…surely a top athlete like Chin shouldn't be messing around at that level.

A might be a little biased.

I know him quite well being a fellow harrier.

I do accept he's worked hard on his hurling and has improved a lot.

For me, he's just not a naturally gifted stick man.

That doesn't take from the fact that he's a really key player for us.

That result this evening means league semi final confirmed for March 26/27 vs Kilkenny, Dublin, Waterford or Tipperary.

I think the harshest critics always come from within doylerwex! I haven't met anyone from outside wexford who has anything but the highest praise for chin

Can you shed any light on the extent of Chins knee injury? Will he see any action this year?

Just wondering where and how he was supposed to be playing Junior B football any time recently? He played senior for Sarsfields last year so obviously couldn't play Junior B as well, and there won't be any Junior B this year for another few months.

Darragh Egan said he trained the morning of the Clare game. I also saw in and around the hotel before the Galway game and he was picking around with the rest of the players walking around the lobby and no sign of a limp or any bandaging. I doubt Egan would let him play football and he trying to get fit.

It's a pity there was no cameras there yesterday for Rory's goal yesterday absolutely class. The step over the ball was brilliant completely took out the Offaly player.

No cameras was disappointing alright. And not even a mention of the result in one of the national papers today let alone a match report of any size. But still Cork v Galway gets nearly a full page and Dub v KK gets half a page.

The goal was on the news last night so id say there will be 2 or 3 mins of highlights on league sunday tonight.
