Mayo can still improve on this display and if they do I take them to beat Kerry in a close game of good football.

I'll go for Kerry on this one.
This Mayo team even when superior seem to have a habit of taking foot off the gas for 10 minutes. The two teams you cant do that against are Dublin and Kerry
who can easily knock up 1-5 odd in a 5/6 minute burst.
So ill call Mayo to lead by 2 after 45 minutes but Kerry will win by 3

Said it before, if Mayo get by Kerry this time, it's a big monkey off their back and gives the a great chance in the final! If they're leading this match going into the last quarter, they'll really need to push on, Kerry won't need to be asked twice, mind you, if anything happens to O'Donohue, it's curtains for the Kingdom!

Mayo a more well drilled and experienced unit, Kerry have O'Donohue, if the westerners have their head right, I give them the vote with a fair amount of doubt!

If Mayo don't beat Kerry in this match they never will.

It does seem to be a game for the silver medal. Dublin won't be beat. I said in January they were unbeatable. And I have seen nothing to change my mind.

Mayo are deservedly the red hot favourites. We cannot have any qualms about that. They seem set to make a third final appearance on the trot. Sure we'll give it our best shot and see how we get on.

Both Kerry and Mayo haven't come up against a team good enough to expose their under belly

Both teams have their weakness as has been exposed in the past couple of years

But I think Mayo will best Kerry

Mayo generally save their best performances for semi-finals

Think they'll peak against Kerry

It'll be hard to judge which team will be more cynical

Both are masters

This could be like Brazil in the World Cup semi final the end of a great Kerry team with Mayo giving them a spanking. I can not see Kerry getting near Mayo I said it after the Munster final that this is an average Kerry team made look good by Cork.

Kerry will win this game I think. If the Kerry forwards click Mayo won't handle them.

This will be very close.. Mayo need to tie up o donoghue.. If they do they should have enough in other depts... Easier said than done tho... Kerry won't mass the defensive ranks as much as cork and Roscommon did.. I think mayo have still plenty in the tank and I would give us a tentative nod here

Many people tipping Mayo. Lovely.

That's exactly what Kerry will relish. Kerry were in second gear for large parts against Galway. They never have to go full throttle to win a quarter final. Same story against Cavan last year. Go up to Dublin, get the job done. Performance doesn't matter.

But the contrast in Kerry's form between a QF and SF is stark. Last year we saw the greatest game ever played. Kerry upped things from the quarter final 110%. I expect them to do the same this time. James O'Donoghue could give that full back line hell. Hurley and O'Neill had some joy there today. Big step up to contain O'Donoghue.

Mayo have the midfield no question. More legs and arial ability.

At this stage of their development, I think Mayo have too much physical power for this Kerry team over all. We clearly have a lot more mobility in the midfield area than Kerry and we have the footballers to more than match them. Let's be honest, Mayo made hard work of beating Cork in the quarter final and while Cork were well up for the game, I actually thought Mayo were very composed and played well within themselves. Perhaps Mayo have played a dangerous game up until now, a game they've just about got away with - but it really seems to me like we've been saving ourselves for the latter stages. I expect Mayo to really tune in on Kerry and go up through the gears in the semi-final and don't be surprised if Mayo really do a big number on them. While Mayo fans will naturally be delighted to beat Kerry for the Mayo players I don't think they really care who our opposition is at this stage because for them it's just about SAM or bust and rightly so!
