Blessington club notes

September 19, 2016

Seniors - The senior team are set for the Renault Senior Championship semifinal next week against St. Patrick's, Wicklow Town in Aughrim on Sun 25 Sep 3.45pm. The team have been preparing well and are looking forward to the challenge. We would like as much support as possible from the club in Aughrim next Sunday. A bus has been organised for supporters to Aughrim on Sun to support our Senior team. Please see events page on Blessington GAA Facebook page or Blessington GAA website for updates. Text Noreen on 0872858375 to book a seat. Booking essential. More details to follow. Well done to Jordan Nolan who made his senior championship debut in Aughrim v Avondale.

Minors - Our Minors lost out to Pearse Gaels in the quarter finals of the MFC in Bray on Fri 16 Sep. The lads gave it their all but in the end with the loss through injury on the pitch (Adam Boland and Jack Cotter) in the last 10 mins the final score was 2-04 to 0-09. Not a nice way to finish a championship but that's the way it is. Thanks to the lads and the management of Peter Behan, Stephen Doyle and Admin extraordinaire Noelle McGarr and anyone who helped out during the campaign.
