Blessington club notes

Senior: Next game in league is Tuesday 21stJune at home v Eire Og at 8pm. We are currently  2nd in league so another important game, with plenty of home support needed. Our Jun B team played Stratford away on Thursday last. Ladies:Well done to Wicklow who beat Offaly on Sunday last and will now play Kildare next Sun 2pm in Bray Leinster Semi final, we are well represented by Molly Cullen, Kim Connors and Amy Ryan. Wicklow Ladies are running their fundraising night on Friday 24th June at 8pm in the Glendalough Hotel.Please try and support the event further info contact Jessica 086 8602822. G4M &O The Mothers played a very competitive friendly against St Kevins from Kildare on Wed evening a very enjoyable game and a good social evening afterwards. Training every Wednesday 7pm to 8pm. All are welcome. The Ladies are playing in the Leinster Blitz on the Saturday 2nd of July. As always new players from the age of 18 and up are  welcome no previous football experience required. If interested please contact Michelle 0863734748, Sinead 0862446510 or Kevin 087 6123203. Junior Ladies: The Juniors training with the Senior Ladies on Friday  7:30pm to 9pm and on Thurs train with U16/Minor team on 7pm to 8:30pm.The Junior Ladies are trying to recruit some new players when championship starts a number of the Juniors will be playing with the seniors and won't be available. We would really love to see new girls joining, Without getting new players there is a possibility that the junior team may not continue.  if anybody in the club knows girls that have left football or would like to play please contact Kevin on 0876123203 any of the girls on the Junior or U16 team. Next Game: Tuesday 21st Away to Kilbride. Sunday 3rd July 1st round of Championship at home to An Tochar (To be confirmed) Hurling: Well done to Michael Dwyers U14 Hurling team who won Div 5 All Ireland Feile na nOg, a huge achievement by players and management. Blessington were well represented on the team by Jon Kehoe, Oisin Brogan, Liam Phibbs , Conor Gilligan and Patrick Doherty. U10 Hurling:A rescheduled NKL U10 hurling match was played on Sunday V Sallins  - with an agreed seven a side due to low numbers available on each side, as Sallins had two U10 teams playing. Despite the damp and rain, a stronger Blessington ran out easy winners, with a good spread of scores from the team. Fixtures: Mon 20th U11&12 Wicklow League v Baltinglass (H) 7:15pm, U12 (G) v Eadestown (H) 7.15pm, U16 (B) v St Nicholas 7.15pm

Wicklow League v Donard /The Glen (H) 7:15pm, Fri 24th U12 (G) v Newtown (H) 7.15pm, Sat 25th U10 (G) v Eadestown (H) 11am County: Hard luck to Wicklow beaten by Carlow in the qualifiers last Saturday, we were well represented by Paul & Anthony Mc Loughlin and Mikey & Patrick O Connor. There was a minute silence before the game for Mick Curran, who never missed Wicklow games. Football U11&12 Boys:

Wednesday evening the U12,s played Sallins in the Semifinal of the North Kildare league beating Sallins on a score line of 6-11 to 4-06 to book a spot in the final V Naas. The Final was played on Saturday in Hawkfield against a very good Naas team the lads played well, particularly in the 2nd half but lost  on a score line of 1-03 to 2-07. Well done to all the lads who had a very good league and are not very far off the top teams in Kildare and should be very proud of what they have done this year so far. The team were GK: Adam Williamson Backs: James Dooley, Shane Brophy, Austin Brennan,  Rory Cullen,  Mid: Killian O' Connel, Lucas ,  Forwards:  Connor Richardson.,  Max Fetherstone, Sam Gough,  Ethan McNally, Marc Keogh, Alex Punesley with strong backing from U11's Adam Smith, Brian Richardson . Finn Behan, Finn Jordan and Tristan Will Whelan. Next Games: U11&12 Wicklow League: At home to Baltinglass 7:15pm Monday 20th U11&12. Wicklow League: At home to Donnard the Glen 7:15 Thursday 23rd Development Draw: The Development draw took place on Fri last at 7.30pm in Arklow Bay, we didn't have any winners, 2nd draw is Friday night next 24th June 8pm in Ballinakill. Cul Camps: Football Mon 11th to Fri 15th July inclusive, Hurling Mon 25th to Fri 29th July inclusive - This is a great camp and fantastic gear included, places available so book online or get your form in.
