A Mass for the deceased members of our club will take place on Tues 8 Dec 2015 at 8pm followed by a re-convened Annual General Meeting of Blessington GAA Club at 8.30pm in the Coimin Centre. The business of this meeting will be to elect the Executive Committee of Blessington GAA Club and Vote of Sympathy. Nomination Forms are available from Senior Secretary Breda Brophy ([email protected]) and should be returned to Breda  on or before the Thurs 3 Dec 2015. The club Children Officer will be elected at our first Executive Meeting of the new committee. It is very important that all members attend the meeting. This is YOUR club.

Our Seniors drew with Baltinglass in the Div 1 league play off last Fri 27 Nov in Donard. Blesso led at half time on a scoreline of 1-3 to 0-2. Final result Blesso 1-5 to 0-8. Players - S. Kitt, C. All roads lead to Bray next Fri night. Ladies Minor A final Blessington v St Pats on 3 G pitch on Fri 4 Dec at 8pm. Please support this fabulous group of young ladies.

Ladies 7's - Last group games results Sat 28 Nov - St Kevin's CC 25 Eadestown 34. Eadestown 4 Blesso (2) 11. Coolkenno 22 St Kevin's CC 7. Blesso (2) 41 Coolkenno 17. Tinahely 66 Balto 0. Finals will be on Sat 5 Dec. As there are only 7 teams the way the Finals will work as follow: Wooden Spoon - 6th place v 7th place (loser wins Wooden Spoon). Scott's Jewellers Plate - 5th place v Wnner of 6th and 7th. Murphy's Bar Shield - 3rd place v 4th Place. Mick Reid Cup - 1st place v 2nd place.

Juvenile Notes:

Ray Daniels Cup Fixtures 2015 - A young Blessington side (U12's) were beaten by a much older An Tochar side on Sun 29 Nov at home on the astro all weather. Fixture at the moment is Blessington away to Coolkenno next weekend. Possibly 3pm on Sun 6 Dec.

 

Allen Cup Fixtures 2015 - Allen cup fixtures was cancelled as St Kevin's have withdrawn from the competition. Awaiting fixtures for next week.

 

Training

Well done to Margaret Keogh, Darren White and Trevor Murphy who completed the Code of Ethics training in Ballinakill during the week.

Lotto

The Lotto jackpot of €13,600 on 17 Nov was not won. Numbers drawn were 1,3,13, 15.
