The Blessington lads played with the wind in the first half and were up by 2 points 1-4 to 0-5. It was a low scoring second half with 3 points scored for each side which was enough for Blesso to progress to the Championship Semis. Well done lads. Scores for Blesso: David Brennan 1-3, Alan Ellis 0-3 and Stephen Willowby 0-1.

Juvenile Notes:

U8 -  We played our second last Football Go Games of the season in Valleymount on Sat 29 Aug. We fielded two teams and played against Valleymount, Donard/Glen and Annacurra. All the kids played fantastic football and really enjoyed themselves. Many thanks to Valleymount for all the food afterwards. We are hosting last Go Games of the season on Sat 13 Sep.

NKL  U9 - At home v Allenwood at 6.45pm.

U10 - The U10s had Go Games in Valleymount on Sat 29 Aug. Blessington brought 2 teams and performed exceptionally well. Some of our kids had to don the Annacurra jersey for a couple of games (and they were OK afterwards.... no ill affects) and despite numerous proposed bribes, scored a string of points and goals against us! Well done to all who played. Too many great performances to single out any one player... All stars on the day. Thanks to Gerry Phibbs for taking charge of one of our teams.

NKL U10 - On Sat afternoon 29 Aug the U10s had their first games in the North Kildare League in Blessington against St. Kevins of Staplestown. At the end of the first half we were just 2 scores down. However, an absolute deluge of gigantic proportions put paid to any further chance of a decent game and Kevin's ran out with the win as Noah's Ark disappeared over the horizon. Exceptional performances on the day from this team with special mention to Finn Behan and Tristan Will Whelan who played out of their skins ably supported by some great work on behalf of their team-mates. Well done lads! Onwards and upwards. Next up away to Cappagh on Sat 5 Sep at 3.30pm.

NKL U11 - Away to Celbridge 2 at 6.45pm.
