An Tochar GAA club notes

June 29, 2015

U14 Boys
Pride of place this week goes to our U14 Boys team that took part in the National Feile 2015 last weekend. Apart from 6 gruelling games in 4 different locations across 3 counties, our players & their families welcomed Castleblayney Faughs & made many new friends. All concerned were as impressive off the pitch as our lads were on it. For the record books our lads lost to South London & Castleblayney whilst defeating 3 Wexford teams when it mattered, St.Aidans,Ferns, St.Brigids,Blackwater & Castletown in the final to become Feile 2015 Div 3 Shield Champions! There were plenty of proud & emotional parents when the final whistle blew in Carlow at 5.0pm on Sunday. (There were also some 'tired & emotional' adults seen later that night down the main street!) Special thanks to our sponsors, coaches, host families & most of all to chief organiser Carol Curley. Well done everyone!

Mens Junior B Team
Our Junior B Team will play their first round of championship this Sunday 5th July in Blessington at 11.30am against Kiltegan! The lads have trained hard over the last few months and are looking forward to a good game. Hopefully the new team kit will help the display! All support welcome!

Ladies Intermediate Team
Our Ladies Intermediate had a difficult first outing in the championship last week against a strong Coolkenno side. Lessons learned will stand to this team as the season progresses.
