AGB Men get their League Campaign off to a winning start.

St. Pats 1-10
AGB 3-09

AGB got their first league win of the year after a dogged battle in a windswept Dunbur Park on Saturday afternoon, the 28th of March. Two second half goals proved the difference as the away side pulled away and eventually ran out five point winners.

The first half was a tight affair with both sides registering only one point each in the opening 15 minutes. The home side put two more on the board before Daire McBride finished a well worked goal against the run of play. AGB were playing against a strong wind in the first half, making the goal all the more important as they only managed two more points in the first thirty.

Two more goals in the third quarter decided the game, the first going in off one of the defenders, while full forward Healy showed the 14-year old goalkeeper no mercy in firmly dispatching the second past him. Christopher O'Brien got the score of the game soon afterwards and AGB seemed in total control. The home side fought back admirably in the final ten minutes but had too much to do and despite losing a man to a harsh red card, AGB had enough to hold on and take the two points home with them.
