Blessington GAA Gaelic Mid-term blitz - Well done to all who competed in the U12 Midterm blitz on Thurs 19 Feb. Four teams battled it out in a great contest with all close games. The Shield final was between Eddie's Rockets and Ellen's Superstars. With Eddie's team the stronger in the group stage and Ellen's team having narrowly lost their matches it was a great final with the Super Stars taking the title. In the Cup Final it was Molly's Aces v Martin's Hero's. Molly's team had played the best throughout the whole tournament winning all their group games. A truly great match neck and neck all the way but Tommy Fisher was to be the 'Hero' for Martin Shannon's side scoring the winning goal with the last kick of the game. There was some great brother/sister battles in all games! Many thanks to all who braved a cold morning with a hail shower in the middle. We hope you all enjoyed it and look forward to seeing you all at our Easter Camp coming soon. Many thanks to our Coaches Molly Cullen, Eddie Boylan, Ellen Quinn, Martin Shannon and Kim Connors. Well done especially to Pat Brennan and Jess Carroll for organising it all.
