It has been suggested that the 2015 Wicklow SFC could have an April start.

Speaking at Convention last weekend, CCC chairman Mick Hagan brought up the idea, saying that it would be a possibility if the Garden County failed to make the Division Four decider.

"We've met with the county management and if we don't finish up in the Division Four play-off and we finish on April 5th at home to London and the team management are suggesting that - if they are finished on the 5th - the players will be released back to the clubs," the St Pats clubman reasons.

"Maybe we should be looking at playing a round of the championship towards the end of April. I'm only just saying it. That's the result of a meeting with the football team management. We've yet to sit down with the hurling people."
