Bray Emmets club notes

November 12, 2014

Lotto
Please note that our Jackpot now stands at a Whopping €10,400.  Now is the time if you are not already signed up to register.  Not only are you helping your club but you are in with the chance of a great win.  There was no Match 4 winner of the Club Lotto on Friday, 7th November  when the numbers drawn were 15, 16, 19 and 27. It is €2 per week but goes a long way towards running all the facilities that we have. Larry Timmons gets the lucky dip. Further details are available at www.brayemmets.com.

Junior Football
Swan Cup Final 2014.
The Junior football team put in a tremendous performance against Blessington in the Swan Cup final, last Friday night in Greystones, loosing narrowly by two points to the Junior A Champions. In a very competitive game, we battled hard throughout the game, led by Oisin O'Hannagh who was captain for the night; we were unlucky at the end to be on the losing side.  With a very strong team performance delivered again on the night, the future is bright for this group of footballers. We would like to wish Ross Masterson a speedy recovery from an injury he received to his arm during this game.  Ross had an operation on Saturday morning, but was on the side line on Sunday morning, supporting the Junior team to a Division 3 league victory against Ashford in Old Conna. It should also be noted that Stephen Ebbs came out of retirement for this game, and he had a good game at corner back.
Our final Division 3 league game is away to Laragh, on Saturday 15th, throw in at 2.30.

U12 Girls
The Fundraising Family Quiz night, which took place Friday 7th November was a great success. Thanks to the support of so many people, we raised over a 1000 euro. Rory McGarry was our excellent ' Fear an tí ' while Liam McGraynor and Gordon kindly helped us set up the clubhouse. The quiz itself was put together by Trish Byrne, with one round all  ' as Gaeilge '. Local businesses generously donated for our Raffle bringing a very successful evening to an enjoyable conclusion. Míle buíochas le gach duine a bhí páirteach ann.
