Moorefield (Kildare) 0-17

Rathnew (Wicklow) 2-07

Moorefield turned in a dominant second half performance to see off Rathnew's challenge at Aughrim and qualify for a Leinster club SFC semi-final against Rhode in a fortnight's time.

Luke Dempsey's back-to-back Kildare champions led by just a point, 0-7 to 1-3, at the break, with Eanna O'Connor, Eddie Heavey and veteran Ronan Sweeney among their scorers.

But they gradually pulled away in the second half thanks to further points from O'Connor, Niall Hurley-Lynch and Adam Tyrrell to extend their lead to 0-15 to 1-4 before Rathnew scored their second goal with 10 minutes remaining.

However, the Newbridge side underlined their superiority with late scores from O'Connor and Daryl Flynn.

Moorefield's semi-final showdown with Rhode will take place in Tullamore.
