The draw for the Munster championship has seen All-Ireland champions Kerry awaiting the winner of a Waterford and Tipperary quarter-final.
Cork and Kerry could have been paired in a semi-final but the draw separated and the Munster big two are favourites to meet in yet another provincial final.
In Connacht Mayo are through to a semi-final where they will face either New York, Galway or Leitrim.
Roscommon will have one eye on a final place with London and Sligo standing in their way.
In Ulster the preliminary round threw up a moounth watering clash between Donegal and Tyrone, with the winners to face Kieran McGeeney's Armagh in the quarter-final.
The top half of the draw sees Cavan face Monaghan, with the winner facing Fermanagh or Antrim in the semi-finals.
In Leinster champions Dublin will play Offaly or Longford in the quarter-finals, with Kildare on their semi-final side.
Defeated provincial finalists Meath will open against Wicklow for the third time in four years.
