An Tóchar GAA Club Notes

September 22, 2014

Well done to our u14 boys who had a big win over Ml Dwyers last Wed in the Championship. Best on the night were Gavin Fogarty, Conor Devlin,  Mikey Ahearne, Cian Mc Hugh and man of the match Dan Lawlor who gave a master display at full back.

Our u14 girls weren't as fortunate against St Pats on Fri night despite good performances from Liadh, Blathnaid, Sarah, Aoife and Maria.
Keep it up girls
Thanks to all who sold cards for our 99 dart challenge. A good sum was raised towards our new building.
Thanks to our 11 darts players and to Aine Mulvey, Rowena Brady, Bill Halligan, AnneMArie Morris and Kim Byrne for all their hard work organising this event.

Tinahely got revenge for last year beating us in the u12 finals by 4 points in Ballinakill last Saturday. Great to see the huge support we enjoyed on the day .
Everyone battled to the end and we nearly caught them at the end - best on the day were Jordan and Bobby Brady, Mark Walsh, Darragh and Conor Fee, Niall Sheahan .
Hard luck to our Seniors who lost by 4 to Kilmac last Thursday night in our last league game. We have lost too many players in the past few months and the lads who are left gave everything on the night. Demotion from Div1a looks likely now .
Congrats to Katie Coleman, Jessie Scott and Emma Kavanagh who recently won junior championship medals with Newtown.
Congrats to Ronan Marah who celebrated his 21st last Saturday. Ronan is a legend for us on and off the pitch. Hope you behaved Ronan !!
Gaelge with Eileen starts back next Tue Sept 30th  7.30pm Aras an Tochar. Failte go dti gach duine.
