Lotto

Kick Fada
All club members are reminded that the Annual All Ireland Kick Fada will take place at Pairc Emmet Bhre, on Saturday 13th September 2014.  This is the clubs biggest day where Kickers from all over Ireland will go head to head at Pairc Emmet Bhre in the hope of succeeding last year's winners Damien Sheridan (Longford) and Serena Hannon (Dublin).  It is also a day where children and parents alike will get to meet with these players.  Please put the date in your diary and make sure you are part of making it a great day.

The All Ireland Kick Fada event takes place in Bray Emmets grounds on Saturday, September 13, beginning at 1.0 pm.

  
Senior Hurling
The Senior Hurlers take on Glenealy in the last of the Championship Qualifing matches on Tuesday evening in Greystones.  Both teams have qualified for the Semi Finals.  The draw for the Semi Final's has been made and it is Bray Emmets v Carnew Emmets and Glenealy v Avondale.

Senior Football
The Senior Footballers bowed out of the Championship on Saturday evening against Baltinglass.  Final Score was Bray Emmets 0-9 Baltinglass 3-10.  Hard luck to all involved.

Junior Hurling
Emmet Bhré  1-14, Shillelagh  0-8.
The Junior hurlers faced Shillelagh in the semi-final of the Junior championship, Sat 6 September. This was a robust encounter, where the muscle sometimes outweighed the silky skills. Bray, propped by tidy clever work from Michael Walsh, Paul Barry and Matt Thompson weathered the first-half and kept cool heads. Despite disappointing wides, Bray also believed in their game plan and that it would come good in the second-half.  Ryan Tynan played maturely at midfield, alongside the athletic and accurate Eoin McCormack. Up front, Ben McCormack got many fine scores with a feisty Colin Salmon proving to be the introduction of the day. This team also boasts a large and loyal panel who fully supported the fifteen on the pitch. Bhí Pat Lee agus John Anders ag obair go dian ar an líne freisin.

U16 Camogie
The U16 girls travelled to the beautiful Vale of Avoca last night to meet Carnew in the Camogie U16 Shield final.  In a game that was hotly contested from the start the Bray Emmets girls took the first score from play with a lovely point.  Carnew responded very soon after and scored a goal and a point in quick succession. The Bray girls battled on and took their points with Kellie Gilbert and Niamh McCormack playing a key part. Nicola Holland was also an influential player in attack as were Jane Butler and Leah Carroll.The backs put up a great defence (Olivia Mc Garry, Casey O Brien,Rachel Rice and goalie Eleanor Carroll Hayes) and withstood many attacks by Carnew leaving a score line of 1g and 1p to Carnew and 6 points to Bray at half time.  It was a close evening and an even closer match! Paul Sweeney gave a rousing half time team talk and the girls responded well. However, Carnew also returned to the field with renewed vigour and very quickly scored 2 fine goals. Now, the opposition was ahead again by 2 points. The Bray girls never gave up and each and every one of them gave their all. Bray replied with a couple of well-crafted scores and soon we were two points up again. Although, Carnew managed to score another point Bray kept putting them over and even managed to score another goal by Vicki Crimmons emerging victorious after a very exciting and well-played game of hurling!! A great night for Wicklow camogie and great credit to the Bray Emmets girls for their courage and tenacity. U12 Girls Football
Emmet Bhré  4-12, Blessington  0-8. 
The Under 12 Girls Football team contested the semi-final of the 'B' championship against Blessington, Wed 4th Sept. The girls faced a capable side who made the Bray footballers work hard for everything they got. Sophie Blennerhasset and Eva Moloney won valuable ball in the middle and fed a strong, free-scoring full-forward line where Sarah Lambe and Síofra Ní Mhidigh capitalized. In the second-half, when the going got tough and the fittest emerged, Laura McGarry, Rachel Horan and Orla O'Keeffe showed their mettle. Úna Smierciak and Caoimhe Byrne also let their skills and tenacity do the talking. Bhain na tuismitheoirí an-taitneamh as an gcluiche freisin.
