Senior Notes:

Seniors - Our seniors are back training this week after the disappointment of the Championship. The lads have two league games remaining and with two wins, will take the title. The seniors will also be taking part in the Kilmacud 7's tournament in two weeks so still plenty of football to be played.

Jun A - Our Jun A's played against Donard in a challenge game on Tues night in Donard. With both teams through to their respective Championship semi-finals it was no surprise to see a well contested game take place. In the end Donard came away with the win 0-14 to 0-9. The Junior A's were then due to play Ballymanus on Sat 6 Sep however, the game was cancelled at the last minute and the lads trained instead. Next up in the league is Baltinglass away next weekend with time and day tbc.

Jun C - Our Jun C team played Baltinglass on Thursday evening and after a hard game got the win 1-09 to 0-10. Team R Gilligan, J McCarty, S Denninson, C Walsh,  C Miley,  JP Moran, M O'Leary, G Phibbs 0-03. P O'Connell. D McEnroy 0-01,  D Nolan, L McCormack 0.01, P Breen,  S Breen 0-01,  J Mulhall 1-01. Subs T O'Donnell 0-02. A Carroll, C McEnroy. We play Lacken in semi final on 20 Sep in Valleymount. Time to be confirmed. Training hard for next 2 weeks. Welcome home to C Walsh.

Minors - Minors continue to prepare for Championship Semi Final which we believe will be on weekend of 27th September. Challenge match away v Naas on Mon 8 Sep at 20.30.

Juvenile Notes:

U8 Hurling Go Games - Hurling Go Games were held in Dunlavin on Fri last. Two U8 games V 2 home teams selection. Both very closely contested. Third game V Stratford was not played due to fading light. Good performances by the lads.

U10 Hurling Go Games - Final U10 Hurling Go Games of the season took place in Dunlavin on Fri last. Blessington played 2 games an did very well in both against St Nicks and Stratford. Unfortunately didn't get to play Kiltegan due to diminishing light.

U8's/U10's Football Go Games -We are hosting the Final Football Go Games of 2014 next Sat 13 Sep. Parents are requested to bring along sandwiches and snacks for the visitors.

U12's - Our U12's played Tinahely away on Mon 1 Sep and were beaten well. 

U14's - Our U14's had a great game to Baltinglass in the 2nd round of the Championship. Baltinglass ran away winners on the night. Next up is away to St Pat's. No date fixed yet.

U16's - After a disappointing loss to AGB, it's away to Baltinglass on Mon 8 Sep at 19.15. A win will see the team into the semi final, so all support is appreciated.

North Kildare League

U9 - Football - U9s played Cappagh in the North Kildare League and won by 12 scores to 8. Fantastic performances all round and special mention to Brian Richardson for a man of the match performance and to Cormac O'Loghlin who contributed a goal and a point.

U9 - Hurling -  U9's were up against Coill Dubh at home in NKL. Great performance from both teams with our young U9 team losing narrowly to Coill Dubh.

U10 - Football - U10 footballers had their second outing in the NKL at home on Sat afternoon. They came up against a very strong Kilcock team and were narrowly beaten by 4 points. Austin Brennan did very well in defence as did Lukas Sarskausas in midfield. Up front Conor Richardson was scorer on chief an got some great scores on right and left side.

U12 - Football - played in NKL v Kilcock 1 at home on Sat 6 Sep.

Lotto: Our club lotto was NOT won on Tues 26 Aug. Our next jackpot will be €7600. Numbers drawn were 4,9,11 and 16. There were 10 who matched 3 numbers each receiving €30.
