Senior Notes: Our Seniors take on Tinahely in Aughrim in the Coogan Steel (Tinahely) Senior Football Championship on Fri 8 Aug at 7.30pm. This is a crucial knockout game for the team and full support is really needed. Our Junior C's continued their excellent championship form with a great win over Aughrim in Donard 3-19 to 1-03. This was the final group game for the team and the win now sees them through to the quarter final. Our Junior A's played the Minors in a training game on Saturday evening. It was encouraging to see such a good turn out from both teams and I am sure the game will stand to all players with Championship this week. The Junior A's play St. Pats in the Dacia Jun A football Championship Group 2 on Thurs 7 Aug in Bray at 7.30pm. This is a key fixture for the team which will see them qualify from the group should they win. Please support. Best of luck to both Junior A's and seniors.

Ladies notes: Blessington hosted this month's U8 and U10 girls county gaelic blitz on Saturday. The girls played great and enjoyed the refreshments after. Thanks to all the parents for supplying them and helping out on the day. Our U16s travelled to Tinahely to play in a county blitz and played extremely well winning the shield final. Ellen Quinn collected the shield on behalf of the team. Well done to all involved.

Juvenile Fixtures for the week ahead:
Tuesday 5 Aug - U12 hurling - Western Gaels v Carnew in Hollywood at 7pm. Wednesday 6 Aug - Minor A Football Championship in Wicklow Town St Pat's v Blessington @ 7:30pm. U16's Semi Final Blessington v St Nicks at 7.15pm in Hollywood. Date to be decided. Watch out for further details on our facebook page and website www.blessingtongaa.ie. Friday 8 Aug - Hurling Go Games in Blessington. Teams attending - Blessington, Dunlavin, St Kevin's, Kiltegan and Stratford.

U16's: Under 16 had an entertaining game against Raheens on Friday night in Caragh with the game ending in a draw of 4-11 each. Training on Monday morning.

Hurling Cul Camp - Over 40 children attended the Blessington Hurling Cul Camp. A good time was had by all.

Club Development: Pitch advertising is going very well, if you would like a sign on the pitch fencing please contact Breda Brophy 0872253892 or John Magee Snr 086 8717483 for all the info. Our Stewards are working very hard in the pitch during the week and we thank them all, it makes things much more safer for all our children, to have the lads there and we would ask everyone to show their appreciation. Our Club Lotto took place on Tues night in Murphy's with a Jackpot of €7000 which was NOT won. Numbers drawn were 7, 11, 17 and 20. There were 4 lucky winners who matched 3 numbers. each received €75 each. Catherine Behan, Margaret Reid c/o Maura, JACLR c/o Frank Byrne and Robbie McDonnell.
