Key clashes in SHC

July 31, 2014
There will be some key action in the 2014 Wicklow SHC in the coming days.

Carnew Emmets and Kiltegan lock horns tonight (Thursday) at Aughrim (7:30). Carnew lost their group opener to St Patrick's but have since beaten Avondale and Eire Og Greystones.

Kiltegan are still reeling from the departure of Seanie Furlong to New York for the summer.

And, on Saturday, Bray Emmets are up against Avondale at 5pm, also at the county grounds.

This group game is of vital importance to both teams. Avondale have disappointed so far in the group stage of the championship but they will be keen to take a big scalp to breathe some life into their season.

The Bray/Avondale game will be followed by the IHC clash of Ashford and Shillelagh.

Avondale and Bray will both be back in action on Saturday week, against St Patrick's and Glenealy respectively in a double-header at Arklow.
