St Patricks club notes

December 02, 2019

Well done to all who attended the Juvenile presentation on Friday 28th November in the De La Salle Parish centre.Congratulations to the U11 Hurlers, U12 footballers and U13 Hurlers and footballers who all received their medals for their achievements in 2019. A Big thank you to the Senior Hurling and Senior Football captains Eoghan O'Mahoney and Stephen Duffy and senior players Conor Ffrench, Patrick O'Keane, Paul Earls , Bryan and Shane Doyle who made the presentations on the night. Thank you to Father Donal, Debbie and Joe Hanlon for the use of the facility, it is very much appreciated. Thank you to all the parents for their support and all the players for their commitment and efforts throughout the year.

Well done to our own Ken O'Grady with the Wicklow Schools who took on Dundalk Schools in Dundalk IT on Saturday in the First round of the Top Oil Brother Bosco Cup Leinster Post Primary Schools Senior A football. The first half was quite even with Wicklow leading at half time by 0-8 to 0-5. The Wicklow lads made a great start to the 2nd half and built up a good lead thanks to goals by Mark Cullen and Aaron Kennedy as well as some nice long range points. Dundalk scored 2 late goals but Wicklow Schools were comprehensive winners on a 2-18 to 2-9 scoreline.

Well done to  all the St.Patrick's lads who represented CCM in Newtown in the 2nd year championship grading football blitz. CCM won both games v Scoil Chonglais 3-05 to 4-00 and Arklow CBS 1-03 to 0-01. A great performance all round by the whole squad, with the St.Pats lads doing their bit too. Conditions were horrendous, but this didn't deter CCM in anyway and their skill sets, general play and scoring ratio was fantastic. They will now take part in the 2nd year "'A" championship in the new year.
