U12’s – Under 12’s girls White team played away to Ashford in the league on Thursday night. They were brilliant, especially in the 2nd half when they really got going and listened at half time. Only for Orlaith Taylor’s save in the goal we wouldn’t have won the game by 3 points. Great tackling again from all the girls, super improvements from some of the newcomers to the team also, what a great squad you are building for yourselves girls. We are there as coaches to advise and teach what we can, you are putting in all the hard work so well done. POTM was a hard one but both Orlagh Murphy and Robyn Knowles deserve it, the attacking of the ball in defence was brilliant. Score ended 1-3 to 9 pts to Blesso. Next match is on Tues 23 Jul at 7pm v Valleymount at home.

Under 12 girls Blue team played Rathnew at home on Friday in the league. Another good day at the office for the girls. On a scoreline of 6-15 to 1-1 it was an amazing result for the girls. Each one of them played their part, from backs to forwards. Between last night’s white win and tonight’s result, the coaches are over the moon with each one of the girls. Well done kids, keep up the super work. POTM goes to Paige, she played out of her skin in midfield.

What a super morning for the Under 12 girls blue and white teams. A massive 32 girls togged out. 3 wins out of 3 for both teams. Tough games to start off with but once we got going there was no stopping us. The tackling, the passing, the scoring, well done to all of you. Blesso are a force to be reckoned with in Wicklow and don’t they all know it. Thanks to all the parents and supporters, it’s not an easy journey on a Sunday morning. Lastly happy birthday Robyn, have a super day.

U8’s and U10’s – A massive well done to all the U8 & U10 girls who participated in the blitz at home on Sat 13 July. What a brilliant turn out, 21 teams involved. A big thanks to all the coaches and parents for their help. It was all hands-on deck! Terrific morning of football.

Juveniles

2019 Hurling/Football Cul Camp – Mon 22 – Fri 26 July.

U15’s – At home on Wed 24 Jul at 7.15pm v St Kevins.

U13’s – On Mon July 15 we managed to get two teams out despite missing 12 players for various reasons.

White Squad were away to Eire Og in Div 03 and we could only travel thanks to 4 2008 players involvement. Ciaran Butler, Alfie Callaghan, Ethan Elliott and Patrick Balfe and lads played extremely well on step up to u13 football. Overall, the team played very well and were very unlucky to lose out by one score. Thank you to all parents who travelled in big numbers to support this squad.

Blue Squad were at home to Eire Og in Div 1 and fell well behind on scoreboard right from the start. In the second half the lads were up against a travelling team who were aggressive in tackling and movement off the ball. So back to the training ground on Wednesday to work on a few tactics with the lads. Some games just don't go right from the start to the finish and tonight was one of those nights!

U11’s – U11 white squad travelled to play Kilmacanogue under the Sugar Loaf on Mon 25 Jul. The lads were on their game from the first whistle and kicked some very good team scores early on. Kilmac fought their way back into the game but the lads really moved through the gears to win comfortably in the end on a scoreline of 40pts to 7pts. Special mention for the fine long-range scores taken in second half. The lads look forward to playing Arklow in a top of the table class in their next outing. The coaches are very proud of this team’s development and look forward to the summer ahead. U11 Blue v An Tochar Blue at home on Wed 24 Jul at 7.15pm.
