U15's - The lads had an enjoyable trip to Carlingford at the weekend.  The team were a credit to themselves and Blessington GAA. On Friday the lads did an activity followed by a meeting with Louth Senior player Jim McEnenany. An early 7:30am morning swim on Sat shook any cobwebs off and this was followed by activities in Carlingford adventure centre. U14's and coaches took on U15's in a match. A hat trick from Jonathan Daniels sealed a win for the U14s. Training Mon 6.30pm. U15s away V Eire Og on Wed at 7:15pm.

U12's - We travelled to Celbridge on Thurs 3 May for the next round of the U12 football Cup. Blessington started strongly and with the aid of the wind were well in the lead at half time. However, tin the second half Celbridge came back very strongly to get within a couple of scores. Blessington defended well and finished strongly to run out deserved winners via a great squad effort and the best team performance of the U12 team thus far. An early evening throw in due to pitch availability saw us face Confey from Leixlip in the third round of the NKL Cup on Wed 9 May at home. Despite most of possession and some errant finishing, half time saw us in the lead in a tough contest. Second half saw Confey come back strongly but Blessington scored a goal late on to secure passage to this weekends Q/F draw. Some great performances and effort shown especially in defence. Final score Blessington 4-06, Confey 4-03.  Next round of NKL Cup this Wed 16 May. At time of writing draw not issued yet.

U12's v St Edwards away Sat 12 May in Rathcoffey. Due to injuries and unavailability the squad needed the help of some U11's. The match was a great contest and with rotation of all 13 players Blessington came out on top against a team yet unbeaten in the league and championship on a scoreline of 10-06 to 8-08.

U11's - Training going very well. U11 matches on Wed 16 May - Blues away to Bray 1. Whites home to Kiltegan. Reds Away to Coolkenno. On Sat 19 May at 4.30pm U11's v Allenwood away.

U10's - NKL at home v Confey on Mon 14 May at 7pm.

U9's - Blessington U9's hosted Go Games in Sat 12 May and fielded 3 teams with some great football being played. A big thank you to Baltinglass and Hollywood for making it a great mornings football. A big thank you from all the coaches to Elaine Duffy for all her organising. A great job done as usual. Next up away v Allenwood at 3.30pm on Sat 19 May.

U8's - Our U8 NKL league team played at home against Ardclough on Sat 12 May and after a busy mornings football at the Go Games the lads were slow to get going but it didn't take long for them to kick into gear and put in a great performance with some brilliantly worked team scores... emphasis today was on defending from the front and good tackling!.

U7's -  Great morning of football as Blessington hosted Go Games. We had two teams and hosted Baltinglass and Hollywood and did brilliantly in all games playing lovely football and working very hard for each other. The most competitive game was Blesso 1 V Blesso 2 and for peaceful training on Mon we will call that one a draw. Thanks to all the parents for supporting us and also bring snacks. Thanks to Elaine and her team of helpers and Sean Dempsey for having the pitches marked out. Next up on Sat 19 May away v Cappagh at 2.30pm. Also, away v Ardclough at 3.30pm.

U14's - U14 girls had a friendly last Thurs away to Baltinglass. The team started slowly, shooting some early wides, however, they got into their stride and ended up winning on a scoreline of Baltinglass 2-04, Blessington 6-07. Scorers for Blessington were Aoibheann Bailey, Emily Rose O'Toole, Kayleigh O' Neill, Sadhbh Cotter and Sadhbh Fisher.Next up for the girls are Wicklow league games. Tues 15 May our Blue team are away to Tinahely at 7pm. Thurs 17 May the White team have a home game vs Kilcoole at 7pm. Speedy recovery to Hannah Byrne and Elaine O'Dwyer who picked up injuries last week.

U12's -Two one sided games at home tonight for our U12 girls. White Team were heavily beaten by Coolkenno but credit to our girls for their never give up attitude. They always keep going and that means more to us than any score line. Special mention to Eilis Reid who received player of the match tonight she's some trooper! The Blue team had a big win against AGB 9-14 to 2-2. phenomenal performances they are displaying. Aisling Brennan was the very worthy POTM - with a little stint in goals also!! Blue team have only one league game to go v St Pats in two weeks time.

U8's -  U8 girls gave a great performance in the blitz in AGB on Sat 12 May. 3 matches won 2 drew 3rd. The future is bright for Blessington ladies.

U10's - What a morning out in Arklow for the U10 girls on Sat 12 May. The weather was fab and the girls were super. Played Roundwood, Ashford and the best game of all against Tinahely. A win in all three, well deserved. Each of the girls were brilliant but a special mention has to go out to Elizabeth Hearns for her strength on the ball and Caoimhe Murphy with her super kick outs in goals. Well done to all.
