AGBs Senior Mens against Kilmacanogue was cancelled on Sunday morning, and will be rescheduled. AGB send their condolences to Kilmacanogue at this sad time.

 

AGBs Junior B were in action on Saturday evening against Aughrim at home in Pearses Park in the first round of the Culleton Cup. After a tight match AGB were narroly defeated and the final score finished Aughrim 1-09 to AGB 0-11.

 

AGBs U17s Minors welcomed St Nick's to Pearses Park on Sunday evening and after a strong game of football from both sides the final score finished St.Nicks 6-11 to AGB 5-05.

 

In juvenile fixtures AGB have had a busy week. On Wednesday night, three excellent matches were played at home, two in Pearses Park and one in Ballymoney. The U15s had a very strong victory over Tomacorck,  and played a super game of football.The U11s in Ballymoney had a one point lead over their opponents St Kevin's and made a great impact to the start of their season. The other U11s team played in Pearses Park, and lost by a narrow margin but put on an excellent display of football, marking a promising season ahead for this young team. The U7s and U9s boys travelled to Kilcoole for their first blitz of the season and a great evening of football was had by all. The U13s Green Team traveled to St Pat's on Sunday evening and after an exciting game the score finished in St Pats favor at 5-02 to AGB 3-10. 

 

Celebrations were had over the weekend for AGBs U14 Boys who after two very tough days of matches where they played four games, were crowned Féile Winners. The U24 boys will go on now to represent Wicklow at Féile in Co Down in late June. Congratulations to all the boys, their parents, coaches, mentors and admin. We look forward to an exciting weekend at Féile.

 

AGBs U16 girls faced St Pat's at home on Thursday evening and after a very tough first match on home ground, the girls suffered s defeat to St Pat's.

AGBs U10 girls travelled to their first away blitz in the glorious sunshine on Saturday. A great day of football and fun was had by all. 

Hard Luck to our U14 Girls who were knocked out of the Féile Semi Finals today in Bray after a narrow two point defeat against Bray. This group of girls put in huge efforts to qualify for Féile and despite the inclement weather the past few weeks battled on to train in all conditions. Well done girls, you did a great job today and all at AGB are very proud of your efforts. Well done to all your coaches too. We look forward to what the season has in store for this very promising young team.
