London Junior Championship 2013

Silly having the games either side of the senior championship games, but I don't think any team will be concentrating on the other semi, Gales I would expect to win easily against a poor Dulwich side, The other semi should be a good watch both teams have points to prove, I think Anthony's will have the upper hand having beaten Mac Curtains previously this year in the league and the intensity of the Tir Conaill game in the championship will stand them in good stead, Macs haven't experienced a game like that yet... Anthony's to get revenge in the final for that group stage defeat?

Anthony's - Tir Conaill Final. All though Mc Curtains won all their group games easily, they were not impressive (not having seen them against Dulwich), Anthony's to an extent haven't impressed that much either, but they looked a better side against B&C gaels. Anthony's to win by 2-3 points. Tir Conaill 'young guns' will easily beat Dulwich 5+ points.

TCG to win the first by 5 or 6 for me.
Think I'm going to go for a draw in the second game.

TCG drew with Dulwich with last kick of the game, only saw last 10 minutes. Dulwich just had to see out time and gave away a sloopy ball when they had a spare man, TCG went down field and scored. TCG had earlier been guilty of going for so long range scores to get back in the game.
Anthonys McCurtains was a cracking game, goal towards end of first half fo anthonys decisive score, McCurtains started second half well and brought the gap down to two points but Anthonys then replied with two points and never let McCurtains back into in. Game was far better than the two senior games played before.

TCG v Dulwich replay tomorrow, have heard Dulwich are short a number of players this week, if so would have to fancy TCG,they also need to find some way of stopping Gavigan, failed to do so last week and it cost them.

TCG - Anthonys final. Dulwich seemed never to have got going in the replay and TCG finished them off in some style in the end. Looking at the impressive results the Anthonys have been getting in Division 2 would have to fancy them in the final, albeit not by a cricket score.

Think based on the previous meeting in the championship this year, TCG would have to be favourites for this one.

hard one to call this one, from watching the semi finals the other week Anthonys looked a better balanced team. TCG looked reliant on Gavigan and have lost a few players from last years team through injury and stepping up to the senior team. But saying that they seem to play their best when they are underdogs. Going to say Anthonys to just edge it.

Anthony's to win 2-3 points, looked the better team in the semi final stage

Anthonys never showed up on the day and somehow managed to escape with a draw. TCG will be kicking themselves, should have been out of sight before the Anthonys got their late goals. Some of TCG's approach play was great to watch and there work rate and tackling was superb, but sadly when they got the ball inside the 50 they were too guilty of taking the wrong shooting options or picking the wrong pass or simply of overplaying it. They had a No 5 who had a great game and Gavigan also stood out. Anthonys were extremely poor and never really got any foothold in the game, but somehow managed to hang in there. TCG will be very disappointed to have concede the goal when they had so many on the line for the late free.
