Belief was key for Robert Byrne and his Tipperary team-mates going into today's All-Ireland U-21 HC final.
The Premier County's 3-13 to 1-16 victory over Cork at the Gaelic Grounds this evening represents a remarkable turnaround from their 13-point defeat at the hands of the same opposition in the Munster decider.
"We knew coming down here it was always going to be a tough battle against Cork, especially after the last day but we believed in ourselves and I think that was the main thing," Byrne told TG4's GAA BEO shortly before being presented with the 'man-of-the-match' accolade.
"We focused on ourselves today and turned out champions. We're delighted."
He added: "We took a week away after the disaster down in Pairc Ui Chaoimh. Training since then has been immense, everybody bought in."
