Munster rivals Cork and Tipperary crossed swords at Limerick this evening in a historic 2018 All-Ireland U21 HC final.

When these two teams came face to face in the Munster final at Pairc Ui Chaoimh on Wednesday, July 4th, the Rebels coasted to an emphatic 2-23 to 1-13 victory.

They subsequently disposed of Wexford at the All-Ireland semi-final stage, while the resurgent Premier County got their own championship back on track with a magnificent defeat of Leinster champions Galway.

It was highly unlikely that 13 points would separate these two superb sides when the sliothar was thrown in at the Gaelic Grounds - and so it transpired as a dramatic match went right down to the wire before being settled by a late, late injury-time goal.
