Now back to the League!!!

(Oldest Posts First)

Congrats to The Willies, great to see the Underdog prevailing! But now back to more pressing matters, can any one tell me how the league relagation will be sorted out?

7 Gort Leitreach 10 4 6 0 131 128 3 8
8 Drumkeerin 10 3 5 2 119 139 -20 8
9 Annaduff 10 4 6 0 90 139 -49 8
10 Seán Ó hEislin-Béal an Átha Móir 10 3 6 1 121 133 -12 7
11 Achadh Mhaoileann 9 3 6 0 117 119 -2 6
12 Drumreilly 9 2 6 1 103 142 -39 5

Fairly tight down there but what is the story with score difference or results against other teams.

Can anyone clarify this for me?

willies v their half parish next saturday on the fixture list

SOH have to beat Drumreilly to be safe

If Ned beat annaduff and the willies beat the drums then annduff are back down in the mire

if 3 teams are tied on the same then score difference is out the window as per official guide, if 2 teams tied then its head to head first

Aughawillan have home games with drumreilly and gortletteragh left with the momentum they have they should win those games and be safe. I think drumreilly and gortletteragh will go down.

The Div 1 on relegation could well be sorted before most of the games are played next weekend. If Drumreilly beat Ballinamore SOH on Saturday Ballinamore will go down alongside Drumreilly.

Did SOH drop players from the starting XV or from the panel for the game?

Yeah they made a couple of changes but in fairness to dromahair SOH could have played they're entire panel all the same time and dromahair would still have won the mood they were in.

Think Ballinamore will still beat a drumreilly side already down. Drumkeerin should beat Melvin gaels who have nothing to play for. annaduff should beat aughnasheelan which would leave the losers of the aughawillan gortletteragh game going down. At home and with the momentum they have I couldn't see aughawillan losing.

Great win for Gortletteragh in Aughawillan today didn't see that result coming.
Aughawillan just survive on scoring difference with Annaduff and Drumreilly going down.Hopefully a wakeup call for the willies before the connacht club in few weeks.

delighted for SOH to come away from Drumreilly with the points, a lot of character from the young lads especially after the week before.

I must ask a simple question, why did the co board put a ref in charge whose own club could have been relegated in a 5pm game, no harm to James and i herd he had a good game but we shouldn't be putting people in that position, i am not questioning integrity here but lets avoid the potential for things like this to happen,

Fair play to County Board for keeping Gortletteragh in Senior League!!! Frank Niblock single handedly beat Annaduff on Saturday, another great move by the County Board! # totalinjustice

I think aughawilan would have been relegated if annaduff had won, no? and is Kellehar (annaduff manager) not from Gortlettera?

A wake up? This I'm afraid is where Aughawillan are at. It's also unfortunately where Leitrim football is at. It would take a minor miracle for Aughawillan to beat Sligo Champions.

I wouldn't agree with that there would be little in the difference between Sligo and leitrim club football think its a 50 50 game.

Manor vs Mohill and Carrigallen vs Allen Gaels this weekend. Who's coming away with silverware out of that? Hard to look past Manor in Div 1 but what about the Div 2 final?

I would concur with Green & Gold... but Tubbercurry did seem to have a comprehensive win in final. Hard to see either team progressing any further with the Galway champions next.

For me it will be manor in division 1 although I backed them for championship too I am not so confident about them they have without a doubt beent he outstanding team in the league. Division 2 I think Allen Gaels will build on a strong showing in in the senior championship and take that by a couple of points. On another note I am suprised to see Ballinaglara relegated from division 2 after reaching a Intermediate semi. I hope they can get back up next year as a small club struggling for numbers need to be playing a high standard to maintain interest from players.

Easy win in the end for manor with exciting young players shining through, they should have had a double this year but blew it in championship. They will be thereabouts again next year.
