Hopes for 2013

(Oldest Posts First)

Promotion and a Connacht Championship, entirely plausible if the positives from the past two years are built upon and we have our strongest hand to play with.

What do we make of this Cian Renolds joining the show. Can only be positive with so many leaving over the years. Also good to hear he was a midfielder for Kildare U21s...badly needed as remember we had the beaten of Laois until their huge midfield took hold of the game

Reynolds is not a midfielder despite what that article says. He plays mostly as a half forward and would not be the biggest footballer around. He will do well for Leitrim. He was the Kildare minor captain a few years ago and was man of the match in the 2011 Kildare county final.

Normally wears 10 on his back

He has a good aim and a good physical pace and is good on breaking balls 50 50 balls

Which is something out midfield half back and half forward lines have yet to learn

And he is closer to 6 foot than most of ye!

I wish the lad all the best and hope he does well for us! my only concern is if he is so good why would he leave kildare?

Looks like he is not alone a few more lillies flying mcgeeneys nest

I'm sure loyalty to his father and his fathers home club and county and the taste of a Connacht medal is temptation enough for any decent player
