(Oldest Posts First)

Im sad to see that Michael Foley has left the panel. He was your best forward last year and worked very hard for the team.

Pity to see him opt out alright. Very big loss and in the area of the field we could do without losses most . He was excellent from frees v ros last year, don't think he missed any at all

I have loss faith in Leitrim for this year with the loss of Declan Maxwell,Michael Foley,Shane Foley and the reserves Enda Lyons, David O'Connor and Declan Gilhooly. Lets face it the U21s are not good enough.

them players werent inspiring anybody with confidence anyway!lets face it with those players for the last couple of years we lost anyway so why not try new and younger players, not just u-21s but there a new look to the team this year and last year!Wayne mc Keon,Ray mulvey ciaran egan thomas beirne there the future not the foleys and declan maxwell even tho i hold alot of respect for them its about time some people moved on

Brandyboy I don't agree those remarks. Michael Foley had his best season in a Leitrim jersey last year. All through the league he was outstanding, not just with his frees but with his all round play. He was always one of our hardest working players off the ball but last year his use of the ball, passing and shooting, had improved enormously. Foley was one of the few players who did inspire confidence last year. It appears we've lost another player in his prime. The team needs a balance of youth and experience. To progress it needs its leaders and Michael Foley had developed into one of our leaders. His absence will be a big loss.

Brandyboy I think after the performance last weekend in Ballinamore you should come to your senses the current crop are not good enough.

Yea theyre not good enuf but bring back old players would be worse! The only reason people think we used to be good is because of our outstanding backline(not maxwell foley or anyone else) now that there gone our defence is helpless!Anyway thats off the point im just saying that we have to look at the younger players,im not saying theyl be a major improvement but we have to start somewhere

About 34 ish mark I think.

He played for kilcock for a few years and trained with them for along time before joining them to play intermediate in the kildare championship

He was the free taker for kilcock for aslong as he was with them

Now playing in Enfield with nafianna won intermediate last year moved up and have been the bookies favourites to win the Meath senior championship since early on in the year

As for returning to leitrim I can't answer that

Another leitrim man won a senior championship medal in westmeath this year Shane canning playing with st lomans
