Kerry Jerseys

(Oldest Posts First)

At the Recent Cork/Kerry game I saw a variation of old style jerseys. I know on Retrogaa.ie you can get the 1939, 59, 79 and 82 Kerry Jerseys. But where could one get more recent ones. I'm looking for the late 1980's the 1988-1991 style jersey. I think this has been the nicest over the last 30 yesrs or so, Does anyone know where I could get my hands on one?

I'd say you'll have a tough job finding them Horse. I have the one from the 92-94 period which is similar to the one you're looking for. Your best bet is to browse eBay or put an ad up on one of the new selling sites like donedeal, etc.

How about the four in a row shirts from 78-81. Forget about the 82 shirt unless they dig up the 5-in-a-row tee shirts.

lads im absolutly distgusted ..im as proud a kerryman as you will and ive travelling over from london for all the championship games for the last

35 years ..the new lads today were not good enough as miners and were not good enough as under 21s ..so what makes us think that they are good enough now

the simple answer is they are not good enough ...with the exception of jonny buckley no body showed any heart or pride in the kerry jersey ..the late and great

paudi o se must be sick when looks down on that performance ..some body please tell me that better is too come

Thanks Kingdomboy1, I took a spin to Castleisland today, unfort I couldn;t get a what I wanted but spent about 20 minute talking football with Ger and his da, fair play to him he's a gentleman and we'd a great old chat obout jersey and old team photographs so it was far from a wasted journey.

i know what you mean horse, you could easily lose an hour or 2 talking to gerdie and vincent about football , they have a load of stories new and old about the kerry teams, they supply football gear to half the kerry team. sorry they could't sort you out.

Ya Kingdomboy1, I was up stairs and we were discussing old team photographs, I was telling him I restored to old ones from 81 and 85 from a pub we were cleaning up before it re-opened one time. but ya like you said you could easily lose a few hours inside there they both have a very welcoming personality and to be honest I'm glad I took the time out to take a spin over so thanks for the pointers anyway, appreciate it.

Terracetalk, Weeshie's web page, go into that and photographs section you can download any old team photograph to a disc or memory stick and print it off in any printing works, I did a colour copy on AO whoch is fair big for about €10 with Copywrite in Rathass in Tralee... if you are looking forteh original poster style.. try Kerry's eye they still have the old templates they could run you off a copy but that could be dearer
