To be honest the winners will 100% come from Meath or Dublin,I fancy Meath to win it this year(I don't say that very often) :)

Great game of football between Kildare and Offaly last night , unsavory scenes at the end but fair play to both teams on the football.

I ventured into the Laois v Wicklow game last night(it's on my doorstep)

It was an amazing game it was level just before half time but Laois scored 4 quick points to lead 11-7

The second half was amazing Laois went 1-13 to 10 ahead and looked in control back came Wicklow to level at 1-13 a piece with 5 left..

Laois amazing scored 4 goals in the last 5 minutes to win by 5-13 to 1-13 ...

Sean Moore for Laois scored 3-8 ...3-5 from play he is a star in the making!

Whoa, pretty huge win today for Westmeath against Wexford in the MHC quarter-finals, its got to be a big boost for hurling in the county. I wouldn't have predicted it going on the past few years (I think Westmeath were knocked out by Kildare last year, and Meath the year before). That's got to be a concerning result for Wexford though, no disrepect to Westmeath, Wexford don't seem to have been doing so well at minor for the last few years (big contrast to their U21's). But congratulations to Westmeath, big result for them.

Laois beating Offaly for a second year in a row, also an interesting result. And after reaching the final in 2013, they seem to be sustaining their development at minor. I think it all bodes very well for Leinster hurling, more competitive teams at minor level can only be a good thing.

Yeah, massive boost for Westmeath hurling. Don't forget that Wexford led all the way against Kilkenny & only lost by a point after extra-time.

As a hurling man I am thrilled to see the Westmeath minors success. Well done lads you are an example to all

Great win for Westmeath and they got Dublin in the Draw ...Laois beat Offaly for the 4th year in a row at Minor Level and are rewarded with a game against the cats in the Semi...Maybe they can finally get the hoodoo off their back and beat Killkenny they have been competitive with them in the past but never seem to be able to get over the finish line.

What was the outcome of the investigation into the incident after the Offaly Kildare match? I haven't seen any suspensions put up anywhere....

There is no outcome as yet. I read today in the Leinster Leader that a meeting was to be held last night in telation to the row but it was postponed. No reason given. The brief article stated that the Kildare Laois semi final goes ahead on Friday night as scheduled.

can it really be 1971 since louth even contested a minor final?? :0 ! christ thats two generations, i always seen louth as a football county but its no wonder they have rarely had much senior success. surely thats the longest any leinster county has gone without reaching a minor final. i think carlow were in it in 2008, wicklow were in it in 1993, and wexford in 1999, longford won it in 2002 and 2010.

Longford full value for their win over a decent meath outfit today .

Hopefully Kildare beat the dubs and give us an exciting minor final pairing.

Terrible result for what is a talented Meath sidethe standard of coaching at underage is the biggest problem in Meath.

Ziggy I'm sorry but the gaa don't pay for 100 underage couches in meath like they do for the dubs. Obviously if we got equal treatment our players would develope much more.

Dublin get that money from sponsors NOT the gaa..

despite that, are you saying we cannot do better with our coaching structures at underage?

Look at Tipperary and Roscommon for example, much smaller footballing counties than us,yet they appear to have proper structures.

Dublin GAA gets a lot of money direct from the GAA and Irish Sports Council and not through the central council

Tipp has huge population compared to small counties. Rossies only need to win one Game to get to final
