I don't think anyone in Mayo has him down as a "great" just yet. He is a very good player and absolutely vital for us. Still has not reached his peak and has had his injury set backs most notable in the 2013 final. His brother really stepped up to the plate but we need another 2 forwards. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11232 - 28/09/2015 15:59:17 1793200 Link 0 |

Don't think he was bad against Dublin jimbo- he was well marked but still did reasonably well with a crap supply of ball and next to no support. roundball (Tipperary) - Posts: 2514 - 28/09/2015 16:36:01 1793226 Link 0 |

Another setback for Cillian, out for 5 months after surgery on his knee which had been giving him trouble since last March. All the best to Cillian in his recovery. Poor lad seems to be injured every winter but as long as he is back healthy and fit for championship 2016 then that is all that matters. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11232 - 10/11/2015 16:28:17 1806057 Link 0 |
Bad news to be out of action for that long alright. He'll do well to be back to his best for championship. Dubh_linn (Dublin) - Posts: 2312 - 10/11/2015 17:14:32 1806078 Link 0 |
Never a good sign when a young player picks up so many injuries. Mr_Pundit (UK) - Posts: 677 - 10/11/2015 19:19:16 1806130 Link 0 |

Worrying for Mayo alright, they need him firing on all cylinders or no cigar! KerryKillers (Dublin) - Posts: 711 - 10/11/2015 20:06:51 1806156 Link 0 |
Will give other a chance to step up. Hopefully Evan Regan will stay fit and impress along with young players like Conor Loftus and Tommy Conroy. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11232 - 11/11/2015 10:25:18 1806267 Link 0 |
It ain't the worst news, he will be fit and hungry for the business end of the season. He doesnt need to be there in March in the winter weather, he has nothing to prove. Let someone else step up and hopefully take their opportunity then we got him to come back in. Onwards and Upwards. Elvisahaha (Mayo) - Posts: 36 - 11/11/2015 10:41:50 1806275 Link 0 |
He has suffered a lot of injuries due to being overplayed. HAs been playing Senior club and county, sigerson, U21 club and county for the past 3 years. tirawleybaron (Mayo) - Posts: 1109 - 11/11/2015 10:55:47 1806291 Link 0 |
Could be very good for him. Hopefully surgery goes well, he'll sit out the League probably and be refreshed and ready to go come Championship. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13711 - 11/11/2015 10:58:21 1806294 Link 0 |
Not playing any football for 6 months may prove to be unhelpful.. only time will tell jimbodub (Dublin) - Posts: 20600 - 11/11/2015 11:02:38 1806300 Link 0 |
He didn't get to see much Sigerson cup football this spring as his side were knocked out in the first game. I think he only played 3 of Mayos 7 NFL games this year. Mr_Pundit (UK) - Posts: 677 - 11/11/2015 18:28:53 1806526 Link 0 |
