Wexford v Clare: Part II

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Some great opinions on here. Listen lads don't worry about the Banner County. We are far from gone. We will be back again next year. We will take plenty from this campaign.

Respect to Wexford and good luck.

BannerBoy2013 fair play to you and your countymen, you did youselves proud in providing fantastic entertainment and were most sporting in defeat.
I have no doubt you'll be back. I wonder will it be with a different manager?

It was great Donal o Cusack and Eddie Brennan said the refs need to improve. They have the power to win games for the teams they favour. I hope something can be done so the standards improve. At the moment the refs are winning games. Have they anyone to answer too? Hopefully something can be done where a ref can be suspended for a poor performance.

Kilkenny and Dublin were done last year.
I was hoping clare would be beaten this year and now I feel sorry for them because of the refs.

Its not fair on the players who train so hard. Its fustrating a good game of hurling ruined by the referee. They refs cant be let continue playing god.

Would be v interested on neutrals opinion on Brian Gavin yesterday. Asking specifically in relation to mulcahy being blown when straight in on goal. Browne having a valid point disallowed n a free go em to cork which they pointed A Walsh getting free after touching ball on ground n dowling ( I think ) being almost drcapitated with 10 mins to go. Entirely possible I'm biased that y I'm asking but seemed to me lk didn't get a free unless crowd roared for it.

disillusiondfan I watched the game yesterday and didnt really notice too much wrong. On the other hand, I thought referee on Saturday was poor for both sides. But god help us lads, it's a nightmare of a job to be a referee.

felt corks first goal he surely carried the ball for at least 7 or 8 steps
dont buy into the guys opinions on the sunday game that he probably let him go because he was tugged
if thats the case then he should have called the free back as you cannot foul the ball during an advantage
came at a crucial time

Yes there was no way Mulcahy should have been blown up when clean through. Also Harnedy took about 7/8 steps. If he was being fouled should have been a free.Goal shouldnt have been allowed.
