Thanks it was a good performance played a nice brand of football and won fairly comfortably. Reality though is Offaly in Tullamore Sunday week. Great to see Westmeath man leading the team as well.

Caulry's Kevin Maguire is back who will be a welcome addition in defence. Jamie Gonoud also a big plus.

Massive boost, him and Gonoud are the best defenders in westmeath add them to the team that has been getting result and I genuinely believe we have the second best team in Leinster.. would love to see Heslin back. Our midfield is a serious concern to be however.

Massive boost to see Maguire back and hopefully gonoud will be match fit too as well as heslin coming back in. I personally don't see heslin as being the answer for midfield, I would like to see him play at 14 this year as a target man with the new offensive mark in and as well as that I think John slows the play up in the middle of the park, something which needs to stop with the increasing number of blanket defences in the game, quick ball kills the blanket and having him inside as the scorer would be much more of a benefit to Jack Cooneys side
My team for this year would be:
1 - Carberry
2 - gonoud
3 - Wallace
4 - Daly
5 - Dolan
6 - Maguire
7 - Lynch
8 - Duncan
9 - Corroon
10 - Egan
11 - McCormack
12 - O'Toole
13 - Loughlin
14 - Heslin
15 - McDaniels

Just noticed I missed out on Kieran Martin, I would bring Luke Loughlin out to 11 and have Martin inside

Maguire would be a massive boost if he's back. In that case I would start with:
Carberry
Sayeh, Maguire, Daly,
Mulligan, Wallace, Dolan,
Duncan, Corroon,
Egan, McCormack, O'Toole,
Loughlin, Martin, McDaniel

Gonoud, if he's back, could fill in for either corner back position.

Gonoud line out at corner forward and play as a fourth half back. Heslin and martin two men inside. It won't be pretty but his effective.

We are lucky that we have ger egan . We are living on our wits and getting results . How long jack can look at some of our defence is beyond me . Having said that with laois being beaten we are still in a good spot

Boyle and Gonoud sitting on the Bench and then the latter coming on in the forwards very confusing. Still happy with the draw being 4 down ultimately.

Ger could of won it for us in the end, wasn't to be today. Some crazy shooting in the last 5 minutes. Two shocking goals we gave away. A player running out of a 50/50 challenge cost us the second goal. The less said about the first goal the better. Huge improvement for the drive up to Newry next Saturday night!

Numerous chances to win it in the last 5 minutes today which was disappointing to see, Noel mulligan missed a 1 on 1 again today in the first half which would've been a great time score a goal. Thought Jimmy dolan should have buried his chance in the second half instead of passing it off which ended in a goal line scramble, no better man to have in front of goal. in the end lucky we didn't concede a free in front of goals in injury time to win it for Carlow. Lynch was very lucky not to get a Black for his rugby tackle which prevented a certain goal, on the other hand kieran martins first yellow was possibly the harshest yellow you could ever see on a pitch. Ref was disgracefully bad today and ruined what had potential to be a good game with both teams looking for promotion.

Decent draw after some shocking indiviual mistakes. We are carrying 1/2 players for last few years. another example of not going for 50:50 ball for 2nd goal.need to put James Dolan bk Wong back to aid attack which is too reliant in Egan. Loughlin and Gonund need to come bk. Full back line looks weak and Loughlin is needed to help Egan . Positive result overall

Overall yes there were mistakes and Carlow were probably the better team on the balance of play but the team showed great belief again to not give up and get a draw. Lots to work on but we seem to be going in the right direction in terms of attitude.
