Im so glad that Kevin Walsh picks the team and not you. You seem to have no problem in always picking out one player to constantly criticize. It must be personal.
KW and the full Galway team have had a great season so far and had a great year last year to go up to div.1 despite alot of getting some flack here. PC had a major role play in getting them there...These lads are all amateurs who give up a whole lot of their personal time to represent their county and give it their all. Not one of them go out to play badly.
PC is a great player and his assists alone this year alone have ressulted in 2 goals plus...when Really while PC lost possession in the Kerry game did Kerry score? Where you there?
Read KW piece in the Times..
At least 7 of the lads played below par v Kerry BUT they won..they bet Kerry for the 1st time in 18 years.
Try and enjoy the wins and stay positive..dont be so negitive..let KW worry about the midfild etc....support the whole team not just 29!
As for glawayfball..you must have a crystal ball..do the lotto..you can see into the future..lucky you!
Gaillimh Abu"
Goodness Gracious, Westsider, you might have a word in KW's ear so that he names the team at least 5 hours before throw in.

Really
Your response makes no sense! Can you explain your answer?
You must have loved todays Independent.ie (on Galway Footballers Homepage) where PC is named as one of the best 15 on current form in this years Allianz football league...but what would they know?

Some of the posters on here would make you laugh ! One day it's not too physical the next day it's too many handbags by PC ! One day it's Shane Walsh is one of the best forwards in the country the next day he should be dropped ! There's no pleasing some of ye. Good points made by west side story in relation to Conroy, to be fair I hadn't realised them assists until I read that post. If he was dropped for the Monaghan game there'd be uproar on this , same story blooding in young lads and as soon as they play poorly the knives are out again. We've won 4 out of 4 games , would be absolutely criminal to change the team. Swear some of the posters on this will be happy if Galway lose on Sunday . Try and enjoy the game and stay positive

As I said (well put) but I think that the team will need changing come the Mayo Game and against the Dubs in Salthill and possibly Croker.

Sometimes we expect too much of Conroy, he's never going to dominate in the air but given the right kick out strategy he'll do well on our own. He can be frustrating at times but there's not too many midfielders who are as talented on the ball, he might come under pressure from D'Arcy next season but that depends on his progress but we shouldn't be too harsh on Conroy.

He's probably not developed into the player we had hoped but some of that will be down to been involved in a poor Galway team which likely shunted his development but he's still a very good player. We've got bigger concerns than him.

The criticism of Conroy is mad. He isn't a natural ball winner in midfield and never really has been since becoming a Galway senior, so it's mental to judge him by that standard. He's a very talented footballer as a playmaker and well able to take his own scores, so we shouldn't expect him to go fetching every ball too because it just isn't his game. Spent a lot of his early days playing full forward and even wing forward in fairly useless teams so that just shows he was seen as more of an attacking threat than a typical midfielder, or has a 3rd man mid dropping in from wing forward. We can't forget how he was dragging Galway through games back around 2013, against minnows like Waterford. It looked like he was playing with a club side at times, being called upon to dictate attacks and also take his own scores.

Someone also correctly mentioned that the reason he may look poor is because we've played a system that doesn't put any focus on the midfield. I see people on here complaining about not pushing up on kickouts. Do they not see the link there? Obviously not pushing up on kickouts because we want the opposition to go short. KW isn't an idiot who doesn't see our lads never push up, it's clearly an instruction! He knows our midfield aren't natural fetchers and is trying to circumvent that by forcing them to break down our blanket. Can't say that it hasn't worked either.

Never a truer word spoken!

Its the same with people shouting for Lavelle to 'stay in his goals' its clearly an instruction as him coming out with the ball creates an overlap and allows the man-on to receive the pass into space so he can come into possession at speed on the front foot.

Absolutely, and Bernie Power will do the exact same if he plays. A keeper coming out of defence 15-20 yards can automatically take 2-3 opposition players out of the game and open up lanes for our own attack. Forwards will attempt to close him down, possibly in numbers, and that immediately frees up the likes of Kerin or Sean Andy to receive the ball. As they push into the space in front of them, that opens up the half backs and midfielders unless the opposition decide to completely drop off and stick deep.
