Fermanagh County Team 2020

Anyword yet on if current management team of Gallagher and McMenamin are staying on?

Im guessing that confirmation either way will be in coming weeks with club championship starting August 9th, important that management are keeping an eye on these games

Some encouragement in the recent displays from the under 20s, the majority of which are still very young and have another year or 2 at that level and need time to physically develop for senior level, temptation there to fast track them but wise to let them progress at that age group. Certainly Eoin Beacom, Lorcan McStravick and Darragh McGurn(more involved) be looking to make impact on senior panel in 2020.

Also management will need to look at Goalkeeper position, along with getting the Corrigans and Eddie Courtney back on panel, possibly worth looking at Eoin McManus further who had good club championship last year.

With the proposed changes for a second tier championship in 2020, the National League is going to be even more competitive and every teams will be fighting to maintain Division Two Status

Eddie Courtney and Eoin McManus is no where near county! There is a reason they've been constantly in and out of the set up! Bring the youth on

Replying To shotgun: "I think it's mad that people want Gallagher out. We nearly got promoted to DIVISION 1 !! Then we got the 2 very worst draws possible, Donegal are the best team in Ulster and we closed the gap from last year. And Monaghan were the best team by a mile out of the possible teams we could've got in the qualifiers. Only for missing easy chances , the penalty in particular, then we could still be in the championship."
Shoegun I think you are in a minority if you believe that Gallagher hasn't failed his team, Let's start with the NFL and the lads did perform well but they tell me that was more down to Ricey's input. However, Gallagher took control in the league finals playoff and didn't get his game plan to work so failing his team meaning no promotion to division one. Then come the championship and Gallagher's game plan once again failed and it's time to get away from his outdated style of football and bring in some fresh thinking to get the lads into the modern game otherwise Fermanagh is going no where fast. Not sure who out there would take on the Fermanagh post but I doubt if it would be on McGuinness's radar.

Well Big Toe, sorry to disappoint you but I can tell you that the Rory Gallagher/Ryan McMenamin management is to continue! This is what the players want as does the Co Board. So you and macca's doubts and misgivings can now put to bed...sweet dreams!
