No Irish News sales in Donegal.A glorified 6 county award that is biased towards counties who buy the paper.

Is this Ulster all-star award based solely on the Ulster championship? Or does it include all matches player by Ulster teams this year. I would love to know the 6 Ulster forward who are better than Patrick. I can't think of another forward from Ulster who has had a better year than him, Peter Harte maybe.

You might be right about the sales not being big in Donegal but I often wonder why that is the case.It is easily the best paper for Gaelic Sports in the country. It also covers the Republic soccer team and Celtic very well.

How would you expect to win awards when we were beat out the gate by Tyrone. Wise up.

In fairness All Stars and Ulster All Stars are awarded for Individual performances, not team performances. Granted teams who perform well normally have more players performing well consistently, explaining Tyrone's dominance this year.

Out of the 6 forwards who were awarded Ulster All stars, I thought Mattie Donnelly was probably the most questionable. Mattie is ordinarily a superb player, but even some of the Tyrone fans felt he wasn't playing to his potential this year. Paddy McBrearty was playing some outstanding football despite the general poor Championship performances from the Donegal team.
