you bet me to it! I was just about to say that anyone who thinks size is important, just look at McHugh of Donegal.

Players like this rarely flourish in the early part of the year, however managers with vision can see that come the summer months and championship football these lads have the potential to run riot (like McHugh did last year against the dubs)

Meath fans quickest to slate our own as usual...

So the young lads one of the most gifted and promising players to come from Meath in many years, there's not too many people you can say made there inter county debut at 18 and now a bunch of lads sitting behind a computer ( who supposedly support Meath ) start giving him abuse and saying he shouldn't be allowed play .Loyal royals and all that stuff , never seen a county to abuse players and management so much

As a matter of interest who has abused young Wallace? I do not see any evidence of that..

Have not read any posts abusing Wallace, just posters expressing opinions, think its the general idea on forums.

i think wallace is doing good. last year and this year will do him wonders. i'm glad we have a small, fast and skilful footballer in him. A team is made of all sorts big and small.

Didn't see anyone abusing joey. Just making observations and i think that vast majority of those observations were spot on.

Oh I agree, you need different types of players to have a balanced team, but I still think he is not a starter..

extra time between Kildare and Dublin, cannot read anything into that Dublin game to be fair.

Kildare got Dublin to extra time,so perhaps we shouldn't look too much at our display against Dublin, remember we were awful for a lot of that game.

Lads I wouldn't pay much heed to the O'Byrne Cup full stop, no more than the McKenna, McGrath or FBD cups. Things start next Sunday in Salthill and that's where we want to see the performances, Galways defeat to Roscommon doesn't count for a whole lot either, a week will see a big difference in team line outs and attitudes.

Of coarse we shouldn't look too much into performances, its the O'Byrne cup for gods sake!

Will be a tough league, I would hope for a mid table finish and a clear game plan working this time and bring this game plan into the championship.

Instead of taking the Dubs dominance as a negative, we should be prepping a game plan to compete with them. We should look at their dominance as a positive and a challenge to test ourselves against the best in the country. Should we overcome the Dubs there is nothing stopping us going all the way. In the past the dubs were beating us handy and falling way short int he AI series (in the mid 00's) which showed how far off we were.

Very disappointed with last years performance against the Dubs, this will be a defining year for Mick O Dowd.

ziggy you seem to think Dublin are this unstoppable machine? Thank God you've nothing to do with the team, otherwise we'd be happy to just show up and would regress back to a standard similar to Offaly..Ziggy don't believe the hype..Donegal didn't Kerry in 2013 were level with the Dubs at 70mins..teams are already 6 points down against Dublin these days,Leinster teams more so.
I can't imagine Sean Boylan ever having such a defeatist attitude? Dublin are beatable we've gotta believe in ourselves..otherwise what's the point..we are Meath after all

What has that got to do with what I said? I didn't sat Dublin were unbeatable, but they have been miles ahead of the teams in Leinster, that is,I am afraid a fact!
