I think people are seeing conspiracies where there are none. Unfortunately Eire og drew in both codes and were forced to play both days. The blame for this shambles lies squarely with the people who voted to defer the start of the championship for four weeks earlier this year. I believe the fixtures man was not involved in this decision due to ill health at the time. I'd be interested to know what way the Eire og delegates voted that night?!!!!!!

Unless the pitches in Rathnew and Pats have been deemed unplayable for a whole month I can't see why the rules have been bent here.

Aughrim v St. Pats in division 3 on Sunday morning was called off because St. Pats also could not field.
