Continued County Board Incompetence - STOP - 2 Like(s)

Replying To hurlingnut:  "More whinging about nonsense. Clubs asked to play in centenary cup. Clubs didnt turn up to play in centenary cup. Get over it. Concentrate on what does matter. Go support our county development squads they are the future and are doing excellent work."
Don't recall any club requesting to take part in a tournament starting in November? I personally think 10 months of football is enough. The off season should be at least 2 months before clubs start back training at the start of the year. Supporting our county development squads has nothing to do with anything.

Championship Draws - 1 Like(s)

Replying To underdoglad:  "Alright folks as Im aware, the senior championship kicks off this weekend, any fresh opinions as to who might cause any upsets or predictions for matches after teams having a few months of league matche under their belt? Personally im not home enough to know enough about most of these teams but would be interested to heat what every one else has to say. However, Im gonna throw out a "curveball" out there with Rathnew to claim once more??"
Below are the fixtures and my predictions; Eiré Óg V St Pat's (Draw) Tinahely V Aughrim (Tinahely) Blessington V Annacurra (Blesso) North District V Bray (Bray) Rathnew V Kiltegan (Rathnew) Hollywood V Coolkenno (Hollywood) St Bodens V Baltinglass (Balto) Newtown V Avondale (Draw) Hard to see past Rathnew winning it this year again. Get them at 2/1 when you can!

Division 2. - 1 Like(s)
For some reason there is a playoff between the Top 4 teams in division 2 but as far as I can see there is nothing to play for! Coolkenno have already won the league and are promoted along with 2nd placed Kilcoole. I don't see what this play off between the top 4 is about when there is nothing at stake except the risk of players getting injured or suspended for championship. On top of that for some reason the county board/ fixtures man decided that this playoff needs to be ran off within a week meaning teams were expected to play 3 games in 6 days even though championship doesn't start for another 2-3 weeks? Looking online it looks like Valleymount gave a walkover in their playoff anyway.

Club Championship Predicitions - 1 Like(s)
Not as much hype and expectation about Blessington this year which has suited them, they coasted in under the radar and pulled off a big shock in my opinion the last day by beating St Pats. They will surely put Avondale away on Sunday to reach the final, if they don't do it this year will they ever do it? Eire Og did well the last day but left the game behind them. I don't expect Balto to give them a second chance and think they will win this one by 2-3 points. Dunlavin Rathnew is an interesting one. On paper Dunlavin have the better team but it will probably go down to the wire. I fancy Rathnew if it's close towards the end. In the Junior A I don't think there will be anything between Laragh and Valleymount in the semi final either. Valleymount came out on top in a very close game between them in the group stage but I think Laragh have built up a lot of momentum since then and I fancy them to nick it.
