Can one player really make that big of a difference?

Last season St Marys finished mid table, at the start of this season there were calls for Bradley to be appointed county manager based on this great job he had been doing. Willis goes and they are consitantly getting beat in the league and cup competitions by 10-15-20 points lie bottom of the table and look certain for relegation.

Any thoughts?

It was a ding dong affair at headquarters yesterday with Mitchells coming out on top by 4 points. Casements deserved to win the match on a whole and had the favourites rattled at various points throughout the game. Based on this performance it appears Mitchells are weakening as the season progresses. For a team who are supposedly one of the best in the country, this was a poor showing. I believe the winners of the Barnabas V Macs game will see it out and win this years championship.

Maybe it's because Ryan Air have raised their prices.

@Carpenter

Brendans V Josephs - Brendons should win but it could only be a narrow victory. I read this weeks Irish Post and it seems they are a mismatch alright and previous form against Brendans suggests Josephs are a walkover team. However I have watched these lads before and they look convincing enough for putting up a fight.

Mitchels V erin go bragh - Mitchels by 6

Macs V Barnabus - Barnabus by 3 Barnabus a solid team looking forward to this game on sunday.

Mitchels will win comfortably. I expect the other game to be very tight. Could go either way

Mitchels to win by 20 points on Sunday, total mismatch. EGB struggled past sons of Erin and have shown nothing to suggest they will improve. Mitchell's will have all their big players there and will win at a canter

Agreed, Mitchells should ease into final.Very hard to call the second semi, dont think there is much between the teams.

I hear the big two are due to meet in the county final in two weeks. Mitchels were quite convincing winners over EGB, and Macs done just enough to overcome Barnabus from what I hear.

Also heard Macs lost one of their main players yesterday due to a serious injury & he is now out for the final.

Easy win for JM as expected- 21 points in it. I think there was only 3 in it at half time, Mitchells upped the gears in the second half.
Macs won handy enough, obviously a closer game than the other semi but macs always looked the better team. they led for the majority apart from a 4 minute period at the start of the second.
Well done to St Brendans, as expected they deservedly won the intermediate championship.
Macs V JM final in 2 weeks time, no surprises there then. Looking forward to a good game of football- I think a good strong referee and umpires is required to ensure a quality, fair game.who would be best to take charge of that game?

its gonna be another good final . i wonder have mitchels learned from last years mistakes , have they got the cutness to beat this pretty resiliant macs team .
Mitchels looked good in the 2nd half once they got going against Go Bragh but i feel macs will exploit there slow starts and punish them early.
Macs must keep the discipline , i have to congratulate them on this in 2013 they have looked at playing ball and not so much of the rough stuff that we they are widely known for , however i heard that the managemnet of Macs were again unhappy with the referee on the day which i feel is a bit harsh as i thought he done a good job from the start .
Garvey wont get much service on the day , its up to some of the other mitchels to hit the scores that could make it tight
It looks like if Macs sideline can keep thier heads the lads on the pitch can do the job and get 2 in a row.
Erin go bragh werent strong once mitchels got going but they doone well for the first 25 mins , Barnabas were excellent for the first half against a strong wind but lost there way in the 2nd with the goals killing the game.

Very quite on here considering county final is on next Sunday. What's wrong lads ?? No one willing to make any predictions ??

What has happened to sidelineman ?? He is usually on here slating Macs, hoping for them to beat & encouraging all neutrals in the county to follow him. Has he gone back home ??

Also heard that Mitchels main man maybe making his way back from Hong Kong, any truth in this or is it all just talk and mind games from the Mitchels camp ??

Any news on the Macs lad that suffered the injury last week ?? Will he be fit for the final ?? It would be nice if both teams are at full strength, then there can be no excuses from either camp.

Any word on who the referee is ??

As for my prediction I can see it being the same as last years final, draw the first day & Macs to edge the replay, any other predictions lads ?? Come on don't be shy.

I'll stick my neck out.....

I think it'll be a one point victory for Mitchels.

I predict they'll be level at half time, JM will steam in to a 5-7 point lead in the first 10 minutes of the second half (mainly due to Macs ill-discipline) and it will be scores back and forth from there with Macs gaining ground as time drags on. Mitchels will just about hold on, but they'll be made to look ordinary in the final 20 minutes of the game - not that they'll care much.

If the above doesn't happen - then Macs will end up hammering them by 15 points!

Pancrea good call. Half time and full time results. There will be an enquiry into match fixing after that prediction.

Mitchell's very lucky yesterday to win county final, hanging on for dear life at the end against 14 men. Excellent referee, shame there is not a few more in the county like him.

How will they fair out in the all Britain ?? London champions up first I think .

Well done to John Mitchels. They have been the best side in the county this year.

The youthful macs side showed a lot of promise for the future yesterday and hopefully Mitchell's Irish contingent will stick around otherwise I can see the championship going back to mcdermotts side next year

Very quiet reaction on here to the County Final result, all the bloggers must be Sean McDermotts and not Mitchell's men as we were lead to believe. Either way think its fair to say the best team won, and showed great humility in victory which cant be said for some of the past winners.
