Upthemacs,

Macs will have to get out of their group first! With Moriarty suspended they will fancy their chances.

Winker ;-)

Everybody still think the same 4 will progress? Or is it squeaky bum time for Macs?

Credit when due, Mitchels deserved the win.

Takethehit,

EGB and St.Barnabas should go through their group without to much bother. As for the other group Mitchels should now qualify as winners, Macs are still favourites for the other qulaifying position but it is by no means a forgone conclusion as Casements have been steadily improving this year.

Winker ;-)

Is anyone else a bit wary of Casements? Seem to have been bubbling under the surface all season grafting out results. Could fancy their chances after yesterdays SM/JM result.

Nothings changed, Macs, Mitchels, Erin Go Bragh and St Barnabas to go through. Macs and Mitchels to meet in the decider, Mitchels to win handily and then win the All Britain

lethal,

I would probably agree that there is a strong possibility that Mac's and Michells will contest the final,
Yesterdays game should have been over by half time, but mac's through a few simple changes got back to within 3 points.
Remember last years final, something similliar, except it was mac's who went on to win.
Michells appear to have the players to go all the way this year, if they have learned from last year.
As for winning the all britain this year, I would say fair odds would be 25/1 based on the standard I saw yesterday.
I don't see anyone coming near St Peters from Manchester, if they win Lancashire.

Yet again hurling championship matches are scheuled with the clubs involved getting 6 days notice. Why couldn't they have made the clubs aware of this last week so they could get organised. No doubt there will be more walkovers again this weekend because of it

Heard last night that one of the weekends football championship matches will have to be replayed, anyone else hear anything about this

Club Hurling in this county is a joke.

Did EGB not have Haz Sunday? No way with him on pitch at full forward should they only beat Marys by 13 points. Not a good enough score line to worry Macs or Mitchels. Have EGB to play Sons of Erin away in championship? If so will they field as they didn't in the league. Casements may very well be the dark horses no one expects to do well, they have the special one of Coventry back in charge and will be no mugs as championship progresses.

as far as I am aware they are going ahead. County board have told the clubs involved to organise referees. 6 days notice and no official referees, some way to run a championship

Sean McDermotts are shocked and saddened at the sudden death of our Senior Football manager Coley Folan. Coley was a huge inspiration to young and old alike. His influence as a person on McDermotts cannot and will not be underestimated. Quite simply the guy was a legend! As a player he won 7 championships in a row, as well as several other honours. As a manager he led McDermotts to several league, cup and county championships. As a mentor he helped influence the playing style and development of countless youth players, many of whom represent the club in the current senior side. It is with regret that i post this but may it be a lasting memory of a man who loved the GAA, Loved Sean McDermotts and was loved by friend and family all.

Are thought and prayers are with his wife Deidre, Daughter Ailish and son Cianan. Coley Folan, aged 44, may you rest in peace!

Surely macs wont be playing this Sunday! Game has to be called off as a mark of respect for the great gael that Coley was. Surely casements would agree to playing it the following Sunday.
