geoff, both teams would have been missing a few, especially Dungannon. Carrickmore where better for most of the game and cleaned up around mid-field and their own half back line was solid. Keeper let them down for at least one of the goals. Eoghan Ruadh's defence was very good and probably is what won the game for Dungannon. Eoghan Ruadh's best spell came in the last 10 minutes and that pulled them over the line. Wet conditions and the pitch seemed to cut up a bit.

Eoghan Ruadh 3:07
Eire Og 0:13

dont knw what other players from Dgn would be available to the county as for 5/6 of the starting line up on tuesday night are still mionr players. Taking the the remaining 5 or so players who dont play county would leave Dgn with a very small squad from the Feb - June and could prob not compete during these months. It tough on the clubs when 7-8players are not available to them never mind 12+

How many of Dungannon's current hurlers would make the county starting 15 (of those not already on the panel). What would be the best 15 in the County if everyone was available? Would Cathal McErlean still do a job with the county? The Tyrone forward line is not the biggest and don't seem to have many good at winning the ball in the air, would big Cormac be the answer to that when he returns?

The Dungannon who where available are the ones who where on the panel this year! As stated above a lot of Eoghan Ruadh's better non-county players are still minor. If more are available next year then they'll put themselves foward for selection! There will obvisouly be places up for grabs with emigration, possible retirments etc. So, we will all just have to wait and see how things develope. A lot of Carrickmore, NCC and Strabane men will be thinking the same as the Dungannon lads, that they can or should make the County panel!

So it turns out Eoghan Ruadh ended up winning the SHL after a hard fought win over Eire Og, 1:13 to 0:12!

Not bad for a small backward club.

1stRoundExit, don't go opening a tent at any carnivals doing fortune telling just yet!

Anybody any notion what the dates/venues/fixtures are for the Senior Championship?

Not great for promotion but then what is new from the Tyrone PR department?

I hear the final has been put back a week already. We can expect that to change also when the football stars properly.

Have the above times been confirmed ?

What a fcuking joke of a fixtures set up in fairness. Semi's and Final should be set in stone from the start of the year. Lads dont know where they stand for holidays, weddings and the like.

Scotia_Major This is hurling development Tyrone CCC style.

Supposedly the Dungannon game is fixed for next Monday night. I expect that to change for a third time as they have not mentioned a venue yet. There is probably a round of U8 football on so they can't get a referee or a pitch.

Absolute joke of a CCC.

The County final WAS set in stone but a Carrickmore player is getting married that weekend so they lumped it back by a week. To hell with anyone who had made plans the following weekend. This is all done even before Carrickmore qualify for the final.

Every year they come up with a date for the biggest hurling game in the County then they just change it because of some obscure reason. Joke

Our county board is to blame they don't care about the small ball all it dose for them is keeps the fines from croke park down and the grant money coming in.

And now that Tyrone footballers have been knocked out the club football will swing into action and Hurling can take a back seat.

I think it is time for a Hurling county board like Galway have and put people in charge of Hurling in the county who care about the development of the game!

anyone know if there's a reason why the Eire Og v NCC semi final is two weeks after the first one?
