Villatown Gort mohil game could be a tighter game than expected. i know mohil had a big win at the weekend but Gort ran manor close ! I feel a draw might be on the cards..

Not too sure if Mohill will appreciate the up close and personal approach of Gortleteragh

Bad silage -I'm on about Carrick not being able to get 20 players between 16-18 to tog out in the minor championship. That's disgraceful. Nothing to do with people leaving the country.
Their senior team is certainly in trouble also

you are never going to get everyone to agree on amalgamations and that's not going to chance any time soon but you do have to look outside the county, to Cavan for example and see the the under-age structure in place and how it has developed in the last 4-5 years winning a ulster minor championship and a handful of U21 championships and i feel this all started with amalgamations, thus making a tougher championship. And i think the benefits of this can be seen from the last number of years and what they have won.

In fairness to Kiltubrid, they had a walk earlier so sone of the players could have been tired

The game was before the walk. They should have been at their peak for it!

So after two rounds and looking into a long break Dromahair, Mohill, Annaduff and Manor are in the Division One driving seat and Bornacoola, Gortletteragh, Melvin Gaels and Kiltubrid are all without a win. What's people's opinions on the teams and performances they've seen so far?

Four points in a game is a poor return for Melvin however time will tell.

Firstly mg have lost more than mulligan apart from the Brennan's there is little or none of last years panel left

The club was awash with transfers to Dublin letterkenny Sligo Australia the uk and the states since the championship semi final last summer

I wouldn't go predicting them getting relegated just yet every team brings out the inner animal come championship time and don't forget there are a lot weaker teams in the div1/ senior league and championship than the current mg setup

I noted the kiltubrid lads are also at the mercy of 2 defeats they did a walk after their game was played it was a good event with a big crowd huge carrick turnout at the walk

Getting back to their football problem they seem to have shored up their back line and now need to work on getting a couple of new forwards drafted in and fitnes levels up they basically have a new team letting go the 05 county finalists

Numbers probably would be a problem for them but maybe with the kilclare outfit on the way out it might encourage a few younger less greedy players back into their panel and bring back the club from the disarray the out goers caused it to be in

As for us we beat drumrielly at our ease despite the talk of dodgy 45s and clocks being cut short yet we still played 64 minutes in total yesterday

I stand to be corrected but I think 60minutes is the required time for a senior club game 30 a side plus additional injury time that I believe is at the mercy of the referee NOT THE LOOSING TEAMS MANAGER

Mohill look good but they always do until they get enough points on the board to stay safe. Come championship they will get out of the group and probably discentegrate
And lose yet another quarter final to either us or annaduff

Gortletteragh are looking good holding manor 2 a point first game out and beating mohill on point difference apart from the goals I know they have 2 losses after 2 games but I'm sure they will put 8 points on the board and stay more than safe

Annaduff well the duff is the duff probably stay around the higher end of mid table

The willies soh kiltubrid at the bottom

Manor Mary's and maybe mohill are my 3 contenders for the league final

Dromahair always make a great start to the league every year! come championship time the always fail to impress somehow. conor gaffney played for Drumreilly on Sunday! also think aughawillian had few minors playing yesderday.

MG will not be happy to lose to Manor but very, very early days yet

I don't think the two February league games are a very appropriate indicator of how things will go come summer. Most teams have learned to pace themselves; the Feb games are a great chance for those that will need points to stave off relegation to get them early on and that's about it. probably about a 3 months break now before there is any more action at Senior level????
