Replying To Bainisteoir:  "Firstly well done to the footballers yesterday, great win everything good in the championship was there.

To read a great pre and post match preview / analysis you wouldn't do much better than to read John Divilly in the Cork Examiner on Saturday and again today, for once an informed knowledgable commentary, greT analysis of the game and players - for once!!

Finally great to hear the Bull Hennessy getting national coverage for his radio commentary, days like yesterday are scarce, passion like his is even scarcer, great stuff !!"
Thanks bainisteoir. But to be honest could do without the rantings of Hennessy. He's a Carlow man again now for the next few weeks and then it's back to Laois when things are not going well. A fair weather supporter, no time for him.

Replying To yelowbelly:  "I don't like labouring the point, Carlow won well and could have won by more, but I am really wondering if we were watching the same game. The Waters / Murphy incident happened in front of the stand, in the Carlow half, the Carlow player was about 80 metres from the Wexford goal - hardly a clear scoring opportunity ???

The only " scything" tackle in the game was the obvious black card pull down on B Malone in the first 2 minutes.

But, as the saying goes " thems the breaks", Carlow got them and proved to be a far better team than the15 that Wexford had on the field after the first 20 minutes.
Best of luck against the Dubs, if another few players could rise to the levels of Murphy & Broderick you could cause another surprise or 2 before the championship ends."
What are you about about goal scoring opportunity for???!! Its not soccer!

Sorry, scoring opportunity! Nothing to do with the black card rules.
It was harsh enough but we ve often been on the end of them.

Well done lads!

Tell that to your colleague number1Realist, he seems to think that a clear scoring opportunity was there for B Murphy

Honestly, what is this 'conversation' about?

It was a 50/50 call from the ref and he decided it was a black card. With the benefit of hindsight he probably could have handed a few more out too. If he had decided differently it 'could' have been a different game. If my aunt had balls she 'could' have been my uncle.

Jaysus lads, can you cease with cluttering up the boards with this crap?

Black cards have nothing got to do with scoring opportunities, just types of fouls. Its not soccer.

This is my last contribution to this silly debate:

Yes I do know the rules, and if you took the time to read all the posts before you got involved you would see that I was merely replying to a comment made by number1realist.

Good luck !!!!

Tried to book Stand tickets on Tickets.ie for Game vs Dubs on June 3rd but can only book terrace tickets. Does that mean the entire 5000 seater stand is reserved for Dublin season ticket holders??????

Am not sure the Dubs really get it, I watched the game on Sunday standing on a terrace on the half way line with RTE cameras and commentators behind me.
We have great terracing on all 3 sides. Come down and enjoy the way most of the country watches their football. Ditch the season tickets and super stadia.

I think it is a done deal, but certainly a full DCP would have a great atmosphere for all supporters given the proximity to the pitch and how close you would be to the action. The official capacity is 16,000 but I think for the Laois game in 2004 it was over 20,000 in the ground - certainly they were not refusing the cash at the gate that day

Genuine Dublin supporters and even the team wouldn't have an issue with playing there ..... certainly it would be a better occasion than over in Portlaoise

Dr Cullen has a capacity of 21,000 according to Wiki

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr._Cullen_Park

Whether its 16,000 or 21,000, that's where the game should be played. We seem to have conceded both the match and home advantage one day after beating Wexford.

Hope the panel bunker in now for the next few weeks and approach this game and every other game the same way as Sunday, monster or no monster.

Dr Cullen is one of the best grounds in Leinster and the fourth largest outside Croke park. Looking at wikipedia, only Kilkenny, Leix and Wexford can hold more https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_stadiums_in_Ireland_by_capacity

The Leinster Councils statement this week is just fake news and spin. May as well just put Dublin back in their permanent residency in HQ if the thing is not going to be done properly. Shambles.

I see on various sites they are saying that Stand tickets are not available to public yet. It goes to season ticket holders etc and depending on what comes back from both counties, they will be available then.
On any online sites it's just the 15e terrace available.
Those of you who went to DCP, i presume could still pick up stand tickets there? May call over over tomorrow if so.
