Worst Carlow football team ever ???

(Oldest Posts First)

I have been to every senior football match this year from A.I.T to Tipperary
And I am embarrassed to say I am from carlow.
We are ranked 31/31.
Is this possibly the worst team every produced??
The sad thing is we are been laughed at if we say we are from carlow.

Is there any hope ??

Carlow are going through tough times at the moment. This is the time for everyone to stand up to be counted. Carlow cannot afford to be carrying passengers. I feel that with a big of hard work on the training ground and bring this work etic to the field of play then the corner can be turned.

Donegal did not get to where they are without hard work. This hard work was well worth while in Sept 2012.

Believe has got to be the motto

We had lads on that team last weekend who weren't even standing out with there clubs in the championship, what the hell does that say, I just don't see the potential to ever get promoted.

Its a mindset in Carlow. Lads have no interest in playing football for their county. We could all pick a better team from lads that are not on the panel. That however is their choice. Some lads will put club before county. You must give credit to the lads that are on the panel. A lot of lads that will star in the latter stages of the county championship are not playing for the county. We must ask ourselves why this is. Other counties would kill for the honour of wearing the county jersey but not Carlow. Again full credit to the lads that make themselves available for selection. I personally know two lads that were asked into the panel but refused. This is the problem that must be addressed before we can move forward.

I agree with "on the ball" but equally on the flip side I know loads of lads who would have loved to be asked, were performing well for their clubs , but didnt get the call. I also know personally that their names were given to Rainbow , but he decided against ringing them.
